My boss asked me if im coming into work tomorrow

I started working somewhere like a month ago and after a month my recruiter came in to check how things are going. He himself didnt tell me anything negative he told me that he heard its going great. Im not getting assigned alot of jobs because im still learning im a student worker. My "mentor" at work he normally helps me eith any question but when i boss came to check on my he started asking me things he knew i wouldnt know just to let my boss see what i dont know. Yesterday on my way home my boss asked me if im coming in for work tomortow as in today mind you today is a normal workday...so is he trying to tell me to not come in work anymore? Or am i being paranoid.

If you're not sure what he means you should probably just act like everything is normal and go about your work like everything is fine. If there is something weird or wrong you should just wait until the boss says it explicitly.

Unless he/she has specifically said don't come into work, you GO into work. Even if that is what he meant, you DO NOT allow someone to skirt the responsibility of telling you straight not to come in. You make your boss tell you not to be there in no uncertain terms. Until he/she does that, you go in.

Kinda sucks because he told me infront if everyone which is embarrassing but i guess youre right im going in anyway thank god its not too late and i csn catch the first train

I think it was weird, what your boss said, but if he doesn't work with you directly, he might not know. Perhaps a different person there is taking some time off or something like that. Definitely keep going to work until you are DIRECTLY told not to.

Well i ended up getting fired in a few days, but atleast i got paid an extra month

As someone who lets their anxiety hijack my brain, I say you choose to believe in the positive angle unless you get really concrete clues that say otherwise. I wish you luck. It sounds like you're actually doing really well!
