After she woke up we had like an hour long conversation about it. She is actually willing to not only pay dues but to help me get to Zurich. I have an appointment on Nov 1st. I need to get all the info I need since Dignitas doesn't accept things longer than 6 month. I am willing to fly to Zurich for a peaceful death if that's what it takes.

I can't believe she's willing to help me like this! This is the best thing she could have ever done for me!

I was seriously considering CTD by drop hanging this morning. Had everthing set up right. I was gonna kick the chair. Now I have hope of a better way to exit this world. May take 6 months or so but it will be worth it!

You do not need terminal illness. People with paralysis, old age and hardly any conditions at all have dr assisted suicide in Dingnatas due to Swiss recognizing a legal right to die. Assisted suicide is actually legal in Sweden as long as it's a balanced choice ie not the result of mental illness etc. Anything else is just extra policies of the organiation itself.

Dignitas offers a peaceful exit to not only the terminally ill, but the mentally anguished as well.

I held my aunt tonight and just cried and cried and cried. She actually loves me enough to let me go! I haven't cried in along time.

The leader of Dignitas actually said that he believes that nembutal should be avalible in vending machines. I agree. Switzerland believes in the universal right to die. Unlike the Netherlands and Belgium, you don't have to be a Swiss citizen to obtain it.

I will have to do a phone conference with Dignitas first...after I pay my dues. It's a much easier process than what people make it out to be...even if it takes 6 months.

I know I wouldn't "want" anything once I'm dead....but I'd like my ashes to be scattered in Swizerland....the ONLY nation that values our right to die. Also I'll still write my right to die manifesto before I CTB so that maybe future generations can hear my words.

I love that woman and she truly loves me. I haven't cried that hard in years, tears still rolling down my face. To know that I have a way out is a blessing beyond blessings.I just held her and cried beyond belief. It felt good to let it all out after keeping everything in for so long.

Thank you so much! I'll keep everyone updated about my progress as well as work on my manifesto. I'd hate to see that go to waste. All I want is peace for every one of you including myself.

I had no idea that I could cry as hard as I did tonight. Not only is that a relief, but it's a relief knowing I have a way out. I was "hardened" so to speak..,,,took a lot for me to cry. I don't feel ashamed by it at all. It's a natural human emotion. Felt so good to let it all out! I will soon lay down my life in Swizerland. Probably next year. I absolutely love that nation. In fact, it's the best nation in the world. It's got the best democracy, the best social programs, and the best culture. In fact, it's mamdatory to carry guns in that nation and yet the murder rate is one of the lowest in the world. They escaped both world war 1 and 2.

I also want my exit to be videotaped like many others at Dignitas had done. It's a good reference to show how peaceful it really is. I can't wait to leave America. I want my last words to to be about how backwards this country has became.

My aunt also supports my right to die manifesto and will help me distribute the mail once I get it done. It will obtain an introduction, a 10 point manifesto, then an ending. The 10 points is easy as pie. It's the beginning and the end that I have trouble with. I want it to be just right.

Totally agree! In fact, I was going to drop hang tonight. I had everything set up real good this time. I was gonna kick the motherfucking chair. Instead, I talked to my aunt about Dignitas. If she refused I'd probably have already CTB. Now I know that I have an ally...my aunt. Who is a mother to me! I want to go in a dignified and peaceful manner.

BEFORE I talked to my aunt about Dignitas I set this up -

Told my aunt to leave it there in case things go south. Looks more elaborate in real life than it does in pictures.

Thank you so so very much! I never thought in a million years that she would believe in my right to die let alone be willing to take me to Zurich. I'll make dang sure to finish my manifesto and mail it to every "important" person that I can before I go. Not sure how long the Dignitas process will take. Hopefully within 6 months.

have you got a terminal illness? Think if you have a mental
Illness Belgium is the only clinic that will allow it. Even then there is a lot of proving this illness will not improve

Belgium and the Netherlands only takes in natural born citizens. They also euthanize the willing who are mentally ill if they go though a rigorous round of psychiatric treatment and still want to die. They are more strict than Switzerland. Dignitas will take anyone who wants to go as long as they are consistent. As long as they have medical records and such.

Because they deemed it a illness which you can recover from. But I've applied for Belgium clinic which will allow it if you can prove you have tried all the treatments out there, which I have. So hoping this one will except me

Damn that sucks. From what I read, Dignitas will take about anyone with a history of mental illness. I didn't even know Belgium took foreign citizens.

In Swiss Dignitas they only provide "assisted suicide" but not euthanasia (= injectable version given by doc) which is only the case in Belgium and the Netherlands.

But to keep you all up-to-date about the Netherlands;

From the offical NVVE site in the Netherlands:
(I did a google translate cause only in dutch on their site)

Can a non-Dutch person living in the Netherlands ask a doctor for euthanasia?
- Yes. For your application, just like everyone else, the due diligence of the euthanasia law applies

Can a non-Dutch citizen, living abroad, receive euthanasia in the Netherlands?
- A doctor who performs euthanasia with a patient must comply with due care requirements in the law. The doctor must know, among other things, the medical history of the patient. On this basis, he must be able to come to the conclusion that the patient is suffering without hope. The doctor must also determine that the patient has thought carefully about the request. And that the suffering for the patient is unbearable.
For a patient from abroad who makes a request for euthanasia, the doctor must also meet the due care requirements. For the doctor it can be more difficult to know the medical history. And to assess whether the situation of the patient meets the due care requirements.
The doctor may decide for himself whether he wants to deal with a request for euthanasia from a foreign patient. And decide what further he thinks necessary to investigate whether the request meets the due diligence requirements. For example, by consulting with care providers who have treated or treated the patient.

Can a non-Dutch citizen living in the Netherlands apply to the End of Life Clinic?
- Yes, you can, provided that the request for euthanasia has been rejected by your own doctor. Look for more information here.

Can a non-Dutch citizen, living abroad, make an application at the End-of-Life Clinic?
- No. In order to be eligible for euthanasia by a doctor from the End-of-Life Clinic, a request must previously have been rejected by your own doctor. The End-of-Life Clinic only handles applications from people living in the Netherlands
