thread for music tastes. me personally i enjoy rock, hip hop, experimental, folk and classical. this is a folk punk song about suicide and self hatred, so it felt appropriate to post.

I've somewhat broad tastes, but very little tolerance for anything else. I can't stand listening to music styles I don't actively like.
I like classical music, opera, heavy metal, some old-fashioned rock & roll, Weird Al Yankovic, Devo... I like a few random songs too, but they usually fall within these categories.
I'm mostly a hip hop head, but I like other types of music too. Especially if it sounds good and has a good beat/sound to it. Something I like that's uncommon or at least not mainstream is pro wrestling entrance themes and video game theme music, like so:
Classical mainly. Especially Mozart.
I like beethoven and vivaldi too. As for modern music, I don't like rock n roll or heavy metal. I like smooth slow songs with emotional or messageful lyrics.
I saw this artist perform with the Austin Symphony Orchestra at the Long Center in Austin, Texas ...... She plays a violin that is older than the United States ...... Her name is Midori Goto ...... She is from Osaka, Japan ...... She is absolutely Brilliant ...... It was almost like watching Jimi Hendrix play violin ...... I got to meet her after the show ...... She was very kind and courteous ...... I was very impressed.

I really like classical music, but also pop and electronic music. I do not know if Rebecca Ferguson singing Never Enough is pop music, but it's also a style that I really like.
Oh boy. Ambient (dark, ritual, space, tribal and such), various metal sub genres although mostly black metal, drone, industrial, electronic, post-punk, dream pop, shoegaze, ethereal wave, kosmische musik, ambient and art pop, zeuhl, darkwave, noise, sound collage, experimental, psychedelic rock, etc, etc... it's endless.
I mostly just listen to music when I'm intoxicated now.
