Dont be such hypocrites, guys. It was a small price to pay for the eternal freedom.
Personally I'm just thinking of the kids emotional state at the time. I believe that when someone decides it's time, they should be able to go however they want, in the most peaceful way-to-them method possible.
Kids going first means that either the older saw the younger one go over first, or the older one went first, then younger, then the mom, not like a group-hug-fall-off thing where they only had seconds of possible fear. I can't imagine the possible horrors to the kids, or anyone who may have witnessed it happening.
I mean who knows why she took them with her. If she had no family, husband was abusive, and she didn't want them in foster care because maybe she had been in it (as an example)--then it could totally make sense why. She could've even done them first, knowing she couldn't live after, so she'd have the strength to go through with it herself.
Still though I can't stop but wondering about the kids last moments, and hoping they weren't really aware of what was happening. OK the younger one, probably no clue. 4 year old? That one's iffy.
And really given how the article put it. This was a double murder suicide really it seems. The kids didn't have a choice. They were forced to die.
