Method most effective way to shoot oneself?

i've never used this website before i just need to know which way is the most effective when shooting oneself, and how exactly to do it.

recently, ive been seeing a lot of videos of people attempting to shoot themselves and accidentally just blow their own face off.

and, i dont imagine that to feel great. so advice on it would be great..

is there any foolproof method of shooting oneself, that would give you an immediate death? i heard shooting behind the ear works, but i just really wanna make sure. the chance of surviving is what's scaring me. ive even seen people shoot themselves in the mouth who did it at the wrong angle, and somehow survived.

also, does the gun matter?
