I just hate to see you do something that could leave you in a position that would be much worse than you are in now, but then you not be able to do anything because of it.

I would research first to make sure you do it right. Other than that, as others have said, talk to someone first for a bit. Might help to clear your mind and think more carefully about any path you choose.

Ook I see..is it possible that u can speak to someone at the facility n ask them to refer u to another mental health nurse in the interim? Just until she gets back since it's an emergency..

Does your mental health provider maybe have an on-call or duty nurse that you would be able to speak to. Someone who can takeover while your nurse is off ill.

I'm sorry you're going through this, I understand how shitty it feels when they do this as if being in a shit mindspace isn't bad enough, they then give you the go around like this.

As the above poster stated, you should try and contact the crisis team (I'm assuming you have their number) and explain your situation/mental state. You shouldn't have to go through this and they should be doing their bloody jobs.

I've jumped twice before and take my advice...IT DOESNT WORK! Honestly it depends how you land but I jumped from a multi storey car park and nearly died but hey ho I'm still here.

How high, if you don't mind me asking? I'm assuming you landed legs first? I have pretty much given up on planning to jump (I mean if I impulsively throw myself off a great height then so be it, but it's not a definitive plan for me anymore as I struggle with my SI reasoning me out of it) when I did "try" to jump I was planning on pushing myself off backwards, so my arms and legs wouldn't get in the way and I call land on the back of my head.

Yes I landed on my feet and broke my legs. Needed CPR and saw the other side briefly but I'm still alive

@SHThrowAway213, I'm sorry you're struggling and your nurse is unavailable. As @Suicide_vampire et al have said, please call the crisis team and tell them you need to talk to someone now, not next week.

And please be careful with yourself. You know that height isn't sufficient and you'd risk doing yourself bad but not fatal harm. Is there something positive that could result from doing that? If there is, and it's what you want, I can sorrowfully commiserate with you, but please don't do it thinking you'll die.

An 80 ft cliff might not be sufficient to ensure success, therefore, I agree with others to try to find another way rather than risking permanent injury/damage. Also if you are at any time uncertain, it can very likely lead to a failed attempt and many consequences that follow it.

It's your choice, but over the years and especially since I started researching different methods, there are so many people that have jumped in the news who are now paralyzed for life and then they definitely won't have any choice left and have to stay alive on top of being paralyzed.

i know It's your right to choose your method, and I know when that intense feeling is within, it's hard to care about how it might be painful etc.,
but it's more than that, if someone jumps and then they survive and have to go through even more hell on earth with broken bones, or worse being paralyzed because their spine was severely injured.
