Has anyone here tried to CTB with SN and used metopimazine as their anti-emetic? It's the only one I managed to get OTC in my country. I have tried to find out more on the website but it's mostly posts where people are asking more or less the same thing as me. As far as I know and after doing some research, I believe it should work.

Looking at Stan's guide, he does name specific types of Anti-emetics:
  1. Dromperidone
  2. Metoclopramide
  3. Olanzapine
  4. Alizapramide
  5. Chlorpromazine
  6. Prochlorperazine
However, he also states that: 'You do not want any antiemetic though. Buying one for travel sickness for example works on the wrong part of the brain for the SN method. What you need is a dopamine blocker which have been listed above.'

Whilst he has not listed Phenothiazine (which is what Metopimazine is), specifically, from what I can see this is a dopamine blocker? So my assumption would be that it would be ok.

This is just my opinion though. I don't know if there is a specific reason he hasn't mentioned it, but if I have understood Stan's advice correctly, the most important thing is to get a dopamine blocker.

I'm not sure either. @Quarky00 or another expert member may be able to answer this.

Please note that the broader class to which metopimazine belongs (phenothiazine) is related to methylene blue, which is an SN antidote! So you would want to run that past someone else with more chemistry experience (@Quarky00 or @Aap) to see if it might be an issue, or whether any resemblance is distant enough to be fine.

EDIT: My concerns above were confirmed as not relevant by another more experienced member.

Thanks. yes it is a dopamine blocker from what i've read. I don't really have a choice though so I'm gonna have to use it as my ae.

Would Olanzapine work for N as well or just SN.

No need to worry about any similarity to methylene blue

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has updates on this? Would this be reliable?
