Accidental? It's gonna be difficult to plan such a thing. As far as I know, using N doesn't leave any distinctive signs of unusual death so it might be taken as a heart attack. The rest of methods are disqualified as it's obvious to establish it isn't an accident. The last thing that comes to mind is electrocution but you would have to design a special device to minimalize the pain from 'extremely painful' to 'fairly painful'. Very high voltage and electrodes embedded into the body around brain increases the chance of instant passing out.
I'm also looking to do the same thing, I'm leaning towards CO in a tent, with the backup that if done when it's cold then hypothermia will make sure. It doesn't need to be freezing either, anything less than probably 8Centigrade will probably be cold enough.
CO is painless and fast, and once hypothermia knocks you out it's also supposed to be peaceful.

I don't want to offend you but finding someone dead in a tent alone wouldn't look like an accident for me. Especially if I would find equipment which allows to release CO. Police must do an autopsy if suicide is suspected. That means it's 99% sure they will discover you caught the bus intentionally. If somebody who knew you and didn't suppose you had been suicidal before found you dead via N then they might think it would be a heart attack. That means police wouldn't have to do an autopsy.
Indeed, but if it's too cold and someone finds you there's a risk of frostbite and losing fingers / toes / nose and other extremeties. In water it speeds up heat loss by something like 25 times.

The equipment would be a camping BBQ, people die accidentally like this quite regularly. And I would love to do it with someone else rather than going alone.

Oh, ok. I didn't know that, now it seems well-planned. Sorry if you felt offended but I'm quite bad at taking someone's emotions into account as I'm aspie :D.
