In on 5mg of ability and 40 mg of paxil. No improvement, kinda knew it all along. I've talked to the crisis line and been to hospital to see a crisis nurse. They basically said if the drugs don't worked in shit outta luck. Been to over a dozen therapist in My life none have ever helped. And don't feel like going back to one. My only option after this would probs be ect. Which I really don't wanna do. Or ctb which I could do. In just so tired

How long on pail?
It took 6 weeks to have a desired effect on me (the unwanted ones came straight away).Turned me into an emotionnaly walking dead, which is why I stopped.

Re therapy, Am in the same boat. Last one made things noticeably worse... really worse

Since early December I think. I think I've been in and out of therapy since 8 or 9 years old. In 19 now, I think if ten years of therapy doesnt work the goverment should allow you to be euthanized free of charge. Lol

I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

I've been on both Paroxetine and Abilify (well I've tried 27 psychiatric medications lol), unfortunately I can't share a positive experience with those drugs.

Paroxetine was probably the worst SSRI. Like the others didn't do anything good, but it made me sleepy during the day. And of course the usual sexual dysfunctions.

Abilify just gave me akathisia, what a pain in the ass...

Anyway... would you say that your main problem is depression rather than other conditions in your life?
I don't understand why even in extreme cases psychiatrist always prescribe the same crap. SSRIs/SNRIs/Wellbutrin and other AD are slightly better than placebo... ok, they have quite bearable side effects but if you have nothing to loose why not try a more effective class of ADs?
Like MAOIs for example. You have to watch your diet but are way more effective than the standard medications for depressive disorders.
