hi i hope you werent having as bad of a day as you are used to,
i was just wondering about the 'actual'medical effects of depression, for instance i have a headache all day, loss of appetite has made me weak and i cant even stand properly sometimes, i struggle to talk, lose train of thought quite easily and forget things and have absolutely no concentration power, dont even get me started on zoning out, its like a lifestyle now.
do you experience this too, actual physical pain and decine in physical health? can it grow to become lethal?

Hey! Yes, those symptoms are very common, at least for me, so I can relate. Like you, mine are caused by depression and anxiety. I don't know if they can actually be lethal (unless you starve yourself to death), but they're certainly not healthy. I'm sorry you're feeling this way, just know you're not alone.

Yes, and it can vary by person along with how severe it is. But it can also be a whole host of things combined together. My psychiatrist recommended a book for me to consider focusing in on trauma and to return to psychotherapy. One of the book biggest points was that many people had seen therapist that tried to treat them but didn't take into account how trauma in their life could also play a role. Mental health system has soo much they don't know and are still figuring out. You can find loads of stories where people thought and were diagnosed as one thing, but later told that they suffered from a different illness or an additional one.

loss of appetite, cotton ball head, zoning out n forgetfulness sounds about right. i can barely talk 2 anyone coherently cuz i lose track of what i'm trying 2 say halfway through. don't think the symptoms of depression can kill u in n of themselves, but they can have a shit affect on ur quality of life

I had a good life now its gone. Its a long story. But I made a terrible mistake among other things - pushed a very good person away.
maybe you could try to talk to them?
