I am diabetic and recently my sugar level was very low.
One of the symptoms low sugar it is a confusing. This is very like a alcohol confusion.Yesterday I almost drunk SN ,i didn't diet but my brain was so confused with low sugar that I almost did it. I want to warn you that it can also increase your depression, cause tremors and hunger, but when you eat something, it will pass. For the effect, sugar is a little slightly less than normal. very similar to alcohol, but at the same time is not a toxin.

I used to have very low blood sugar as a side-effect of anti-anxiety medication. I even passed out a couple of times, that's how extreme it was.

I did not experience the kind of confusion you mention - meaning being confused and still able to make rational decisions such as "I will now drink this".

When I was in that state of mind, I was dizzy and had tremendous difficulties concentrating. I would also shake violently, feel very sick, have fast, irregular heartbeat and hear a deafening ringing in my ears.

All in all, what I am saying is that in those moments I would not have been able to perform even the simplest tasks, let alone ctb.

Personally, based on my experiences, I would not recommend low blood glucose levels to fight off SI.

Most likely you had a very low sugar level (less than 3)

thats interesting, i guess simply fasting for a period of time wont do the trick. But if i injected insulin that might work and lower my SI
A post is also needed .
If you are not a diabetic, I advise you to administer the lowest possible doses of insulin

If I understand your post correctly, you are suggesting low blood sugar can be used to suppress survival instinct. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this. I would describe the mental effects of hypoglycemia as a slowing down of all processes, rather than a specific lowering of inhibitions as such. Any possible benefit in reducing survival instinct would, in my opinion, be vastly overwhelmed by the drastic reduction in both mental clarity and physical coordination needed to accomplish most suicide methods. A state of hypoglycemia leaves you very likely to make basic mistakes which may cause you to fail your attempt or even leave you permanently disabled.
