Below is a link to the Wayback Machine, which is an archive of most things on the internet. Ive found this useful in exploring LostAllHope in its absence. I'm sure other people will have uses for the Wayback Machine not suicide-related as well.

Some people report being able to access it, I can say myself and some others are met with a login wall. I'm in the US. Looks like a change.org petition shut it down.

Because people want to feel good like they're accomplishing something and don't realize that when someone wants to CtB they'll do it regardless. Virtue Signaling.

Same reason I want to deck my aunt.

The petitioner says this:

"I feel very much that without this website, my friend Chris would not have learned how to take his life in such a manner, and it would have stopped him from doing so."

How does she know that? Perhaps he would have attempted suicide anyway, but using an inefficient method, and ended up permanently injured?

As much as I dislike that site, and how it actually discouraged me from suicide for a while, this is still gross censorship. Unacceptable.

You can't stop people from doing what they want. Now they've taken a voice away from many people. Another place where people could speak in honesty without being sectioned or locked up. People will suicide regardless and now many more will resort to painful and hopeless methods. Possibly damaging themselves and furthering their own misery in life.

I truly despise people who try to push their own ideologies onto others. Especially when they do it as some personal crusade believing that they're doing "what's best for you." If these people actually cared as much as they claim about their "loved ones" then their loved ones might not even be suicidal in the first place.

People need something to blame in the wake of increased suicides as the years go on and instead of looking at society, poor treatment of people with mental illness, or the overall lack of regard for people like us they would rather point fingers at a website and have it taken down to feel like they're helping

Hmm... looks like my suspicions of site maintenance were correct. Throw up a login, do your work, come back up. I'll have to remember that trick.

Petition took it down. Took some time to code the age verification, etc.

The prior hoster of the website, ICDsoft, shut the site down after the petition.
Their new hoster is Hostwinds LLC.

It's a good thing to archive various sites because there is never any guarantee that it will remain online as sometimes, it can disappear on a drop of a dime. Also, according to @Michelstaedter, the site is up and running again.

I have access to Lost All Hope, but it does ask if I am above 18. HOWEVER, I can no longer access ashspace archive(ashspace.org) for their methods, as it requires a login/password and says I am not "authorized" to utilize the site. I have always been able to view this before and garnered much information regarding methods from them. That being stated, I did find the information on here via the SS List of Resources, under Guides/Methods and then followed the link from A Practical Guide to Suicide
https://archive.fo/jceEo which is an archive site/webcapture. This is the only way I can view it now. I am not sure if others have run into this issue, but if they have, hopefully, this will assist them if they were wondering where to locate it.

Try this: https://archive.ashspace.org/asm_guide/
I believe that's the exact same thing and is what I have been looking at for several years now. There may be some slight differences at the top of the page, but the content appears to be the same.

I am still receiving the same response...a blank page with a login/password requirement, but thank you!

Sorry about that :notsure: I would be utterly livid if I couldn't access that page. HOWEVER, I did "screenshot" of the entire page. I am going to attempt to upload it here. You'll have to save it and then zoom in on it to read it. It's worth a try, I guess.
EDIT: I just tried it after uploading it. You don't have to save it to zoom in. It will open in a new tab and there you should be able to zoom.

That petition can f*ck right off! More like: help save anyone that may have any guilt associated with that person whilst forcing that person to remain alive in endless suffering! Yay! Clearly it wasn't an impulsive act as so many people presume, if they had it in them to research- then it is obviously a fairly well considered & even rational decision to make for ffs- maybe they need to petition for things that might have helped this person much earlier on! They need to look at the bigger picture.
