Story Lost my cat this morning.

My cat Charlie got hit by a car this morning. His head was flat and covered with ants. Why couldn't it have been me instead? I would do anything to switch places with him.

I had a kitten who died this time of year 2 years ago. I intended to CTB after that. I walked far into the woods until I found train tracks. I sat there for hours waiting on the train.

I love Charlie more than anything in the world. I can't imagine living without him. I want to attempt again. I want to be with Charlie again. He was my only friend in the world. I just want him back.

I totally get that. It's hard to see things clearly after a loss like that. You took care of charlie well and gave him a life most cats aren't lucky to get. But you did your best and there's nothing that you could've done to save him at that moment. I know you value charlie's life more than your own but still even though charlie never said it he still loved you and that matters. Cats don't live for so long so even a couple of months with a good owner like you could mean the whole world to them. Just know that he died happy knowing you were his best friend.

Although they're not my favorite animals, cats have become curious and adorable creatures to me, more so than dogs.
I'm sorry about what happened to you, and I imagine it's more painful that it was a damn accident. I'm truly sorry. Now I know how much it hurts. I had eight pets, and the last four recently died. It hurt like hell, but at least I treasure the good times. Each one of them was the love of my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Oh I'm so sorry about Charlie. I can't imagine that you'll ever be able to get the image of him on the road out of your head. I still see the end of all my pets. It never goes away and it's haunting. I had a black and white Charlie cat who passed in 2012. He was a polydactyly, and was extremely affectionate - as by the reputation of polydactyly cats. His affection was the best about him. When he passed I fell apart, and said to Charlie's vet that I couldn't live without him. I will never forget Charlie's vet's response, "When you feel the sadness of losing Charlie, remember too the joyful times you had together". That thinking changed everything. I hope that helps you too.

Oh, no, I'm so sorry. My heartfelt condolences. What an angel your Charlie was. I understand your pain. But we all die someday. Your Charlie was loved and had a good life with such a loving owner. He knew how much you loved him and he gave you his love

i'm so sorry. losing a pet is hard -- especially in this manner. (our cat met the same fate...)
