Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Looking for any advice on how to get a remote tech job.

I used to work in IT a long time ago and I found it pretty shit and boring but I need to earn some money.

Can anyone advise on tech jobs that aren't software development and not too technical? Maybe proof reading or testing or anything simple that I can do remotely that pays.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated....

You might look at websites for those who build websites. if they are advertising for help, they may be open to someone who wants to work remotely.

Sorry for necroing this, but I do want to say, there are some pretty decent subreddits if you have Reddit for stuff like this. Cscareerquestions comes to mind as it's fairly large, and tech-centric. I wish I had personal advice to offer, but alas I'm only a student currently.

You've just gotta search job boards. There are quite a lot of remote jobs these days. You could also try freelancing sites but the pay is a bit shit and lots of competition for work. Not easy money

Take the Google IT courses. Google IT, Google IT with python and Google cyber security.

That is enough to get an entry level IT help desk job. My friend just got a distance job yesterday.

Good luck to you!

Thanks! Yeah I did a free Google My Business course. Reckon I could make money cold calling businesses and offering to help them develop their Google Business profiles. I may take those courses you listed above also, so thanks for the advice.
