This is very true, and they indeed have won (just not what the world thinks) as they have overcome their SI, no longer have to deal with problems of the living, and have died on their own terms.

I feel similar as well, the only difference is that I still live with family which makes having privacy difficult. I really miss the times where I lived independently or at least without having someone present at all times.

Well said. Sometimes life just sucks in general and regardless of how much "success" one has, the feeling of existential dread and eventual end will always loom around. I believe one of the founders of TRTNLE (The Right To No Longer Exist) once stated that all humans are already dying from the start of time.

I hadn't heard of him prior to this but both of my parents brought it up to me separately. I feel like it made them think of me lol.
I'm glad he's not suffering anymore, I don't know what his life circumstances were but it is my understanding that he was an "I had no idea he was depressed," type of person. I'm sure that is a hard facade to keep up as I personally never learned how to not wear my suffering on my face.

I live with family too. If I didn't I'd be gone by now. Logistics are hard. :(

Yeah I definitely don't have any money. All I can do is make sure my husband will be ok financially for a period of time after I'm gone. I've got 3 weeks left.

It just goes to show that even the most perfect life (on the surface) isn't always what is going on inside a person. He may have been struggling with depression for a while. Or there may have been other reasons. I am only a bit younger than him (at the time of his death). If this successful family man can do it, then a loser like me can as well. I heard somebody I knew went under some tracks recently too. I can't feel sad for them, because I know the pain they must have been going through. I empathise with them. I am them, and therefore I hope to join them soon too. Rest in peace to them both. Forever love and peace
