Considering that I won't be ctb'ing anytime soon (could always change if circumstances change though), I've thought of some long term goals that I have. For me, there are a few things that I see myself pushing for. Some of which might be far-fetched, but at least it's a big goal to pursue. Given and assuming that I live for another decade or so (or even longer, but not until elderly age, such as 65 or so), here are some of my goals:
Long Term goals:
-See to it that physician assisted suicide becomes legal in more states in the US, and that the choice of voluntary euthanasia is extended to more people (those with low quality of life, serious disabilities, and those who have tried to get better but is hopeless, etc.).
-Make sure that voluntary euthanasia, right to die remains strong in Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg, hope those countries don't change their laws in regards to the right to die..
-See the legalization and decriminalization of prostitution in more states around the US, and perhaps more countries. (Similar to the way that marijuana laws have been around the US and various parts of the world). I believe that there are more benefits to legal prostitution than banning it and punishing both buyer and seller. (Some might disagree but I'm not here to argue my position).
I also have some other personal goals, but in terms of long term goals, these are the ones that matter the most to me as it not only benefits me, but also benefits society as a whole, especially in the long run.
What are your long term goals, assuming that you live another decade or longer?
