My psychiatrist (bless his heart!) went on overseas "vacation" in September...he's not been allowed to fly back!
Of course, I am deriving a number of amusing reasons for this:
Air rage?
His real name is Cat Stevens?
Overstayed his "Unique Talent" visa?
Has your psychiatrist or therapist ever been in a "situation" before?

pretty funny, but really not at the same time. I think it's what happens when civil servants are given somewhat arbitrary directives 'reduce immigration' - counter intuitive results abound.

I have yet to meet a psychiatrist or therapist who isnt completely bonkers in their free time. I knew a psychiatrist who had OCD and collected vintage leather suitcases and luggage. His house was so cluttered that his boyfriend threw his hands up in despair and moved out . My own sister is a well respected counsellor. Hasnt had any contact with her own family for years, no doubt so as not to have us see her periodic psychotantrums where she accuses us all of plotting against her.

No. His receptionist has only said, "He can't fly back," and keeps phoning to reschedule every couple of weeks. Patients aren't encouraged to ask personal questions, not that I wouldn't love to know;)

Turns out that it was retinal surgery
Nothing to see here...quite literally...meh!

Damn I had this image of him running along flapping his arms whilst yelling to his secretary on his hands free headset...'it's not working!'
