Sorry you're feeling this. Its a real nightamare. Everybody is living a hell on his own. What an insane becoming. Everyone I call for guidance either having his own version of suffering or having reserves of some kind. Your kind thoughtdul words are enough.
Its sucks to be helpless and trapped. And directions looks so short and narrow.

It seems like I never actually had a purpose, but I was in my own world of thinking I could be normal if I adopted the right strategy. It's only now that all my escape mechanisms have finally eroded away and what remains is... living nightmare.

I feel you. Escaping mechanisms are not our faults. They've been triggered whether due to personal circumstances in us and around. I think there were inevitable giving our "bad luck", the only way our mind could handel the overbearing pressure. But truly they sure are one way ticket to a nightmare. All strategies elaborated in that state of mind they are doomed to fail mesirably. I don't think other mechanisms were a given or possible to us in retrospection. this, all of it are inevitables consequences. The worst part somehow they keep perpetuating like a plague.
It feels a bit relieving to know we are not alone. Though it sucks that we are the minority of minorities inrl, targets for delusional "special" beings.

Existing in this world really can be torture, existence is the true problem and the world that we live in really is so nightmarish in so many ways. The unfortunate reality is that there is simply nothing fair about this life as people suffer so much through no fault of their own, trapped in situations in which they have limited control over. I do get that it's awful and tiring feeling trapped in a life that is just endless suffering. The fact that all this pain continues to exist makes the thought of permanent nonexistence sound so appealing.

We know nothing important here, all the big questions have no answers and we are only left with possibilites. That means the only sensible response is to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Preparing for the worst means learning how to deal with suffering. Once you learn that, you've learned all this life has to offer. Everything else here is distractions. Pleasure needs no system to deal with so chasing it is a waste of time, but suffering sure does. Once you learn how to walk through hell and still smile, you are ready.

I talked to my brother earlier and he shared his perception between people with trauma and *normal" people in the face of the same life obstacles and suffering. And his pov is in these lines, you suffering is the same as others but our perceptions are different due to the trauma and subsequent mental illness we had to endure, we are wired for frear and urgency. People face unemployment, hardships, health problems unfairness of life, defiencies of all sort and with of lack of resources and means. They just resist and stay patient somehow in the hope of better life quality and security, despite the unfairness and frustration. They are résilient. The difference between normal people and as we have difficulties interracting and finding others that relate to our kind of hell, we feel rejected, ostrazized easily dissimissed. We find ourself alone in our struggles misunderstood and the lonliness and the consequences of traumas we faced left us with scars and consequences messing up with our mind daily. Prone to crtizism, lacking social aptitude. Basicly zxtremly alone in our hell of life.

When I said purpose I was referring to daily life purpose, a place to work to go to daily for work, away from all the criticism and judgement. When you're unemployed in and in a certain disposition, we focus too much on critizism rather than what we want to do.
I never really cared about the big questions or the purpose of life or whatever.

i remember an other anecdote. I was onc applying for a job and the job intervierw at the time asked me about 2 years gap in my resume. I was struck by shame and was cluless how to answer. His immediate reply was idk why you ashamed of unemployment. Unemployment is rampant, i was unemployed for years my self. This a perfect example of internalized unreasonable shame.
Just a thought about when you so devaluing yourself, pretty much normal occurence become a guilt trip.

I believe the purpose is to be happy. Some people are easily amused.

I have a bleak feeling so can't be easily amused. I don't think I deserve this. If I had shat on people and lied I don't think id be this miserable now.

If you're happy - purpose life and job etc are intertwine.

I'd take it one step further and say we're built differently. Yeah, everyone experiences the same type of struggles, but how you're built determines how you handle them.

If you take a piece of wood and a piece of steel and try to cut them with a chainsaw, one is going to split more easily than the other.

You apply the same amount of pressure using the same equipment, but the results are going to be different.

There is nothing you can do to the wood to get it to perform like the steel under pressure. You can't change its composition no matter what.

It's like 2 houses sitting side by side: one built of wood, one of brick, and a fire comes through. They both experienced the exact same conditions but one of them is going to be more damaged than the other.

We didn't construct ourselves. We didn't select the DNA and personality traits. We're not responsible for our composition.

I don't feel bad because I can't perform like others under pressure. But I do resent the people responsible for my construction.

Yeah merely existing and decaying like a zombie. Either forward or backward or so how I feel. I feel weaker and weaker each passing day. Time is a killer for us *sigh* and precious for others. Its just frustrating and sad.

I wish all of us at least get a good break along the way. A lucky draw. But looking at the cyclic nuture of our existence, bad luck seem to follow is. Damn it.
