Day two of my mental breakdown. ( Yes, I know I am crazy, I just don't care, I am also not drunk or high)

I've cut myself for the first time as a pre-teen, I was probably 12 or 13. I am 26 now. And I stopped cutting when I was 20, because of external pressure. I always loved blades, and loved cutting myself, and after stopping I there were many times where I wanted to do it again, but I never did "cause cutting is bad", well today I said fuck it. I had the house for myself until tomorrow at noon and also had in my house anticoagulant pills that my father takes for actual medical reasons, I also have an arrey of diferent blades, so I thought let's do a little game, a test, to see which one cuts better, while also seeing the effects of the pills.

Some os my metrics:

What are we mesuring:

*Which hurts more
*Which makes it bleed more ( cuts better)

Where I will be cutting: the inner side of my the lower part of my calf

*I will be trying to use the "same" or as similar force as is possible, to try and give everyone the same chances.

*Also after cutting a bit, I noticed that it is a bit harder to cut my leg than what I would normally cut, my arm. also I did not shave and the hairs in my leg seem to make it hurt a little more in the most ineffective tools, as the end up sort off pulling my hairs, but also seem to make it more difficult for the blade to penetrate my leg

I will also be noteing the effects of the anti-coagulant: I took 20mg of rivaroxaban, it takes 40 mins to start having an effect,

So I took the pills and started cutting and the results are as follows:

I started with who I thought would be the strongest contender: ( Also I didn't cut in this order I am just showing in it like this to be more clean and organized)

A scalpel with a new blade (n°11 I think, not a doctor): 10/10 this is sort of the control, its made to make incisions, so it cuts my skin like butter, and a little bit of blood pools around the cut

Kitchen knife 1/10 not super sharp, with the same amount of strenght used for the scalpel it didn't even really break the skin, but it hurt as it pulled my hairs

Scissors: 1.5/10 again it was shit, didn't cut, but somehow it made my skin more red than the Kitchen knife, not a whole lot of pain ( mostly there for the gag/ laughs)

Off brand swiss switchblade: 1/10 didn't really cut either ( at this point I was very dissapointed)

Victorinox switchblade (a bit old, small classic one, in blue in case you were wondering): 2/10 didn't really cut much I could see the outline of the cut but it was so shallow no blood came from it.

Tramontina Pocketknife (folding knife): 3/10 a bit better the cut was clear but little to no blood, painful.

Browning Pocketknife (folding knife): 5/10 Better, more pain a bit more blood, nowhere near the scalpel though

Scalpel with a curved blade: 5/10. Lots of pain, not that much blood, more than the Browning, but just a little more, strong point for this guys is the pain, it was very painful.

Paper cutter knife thing new blade (no clue the name in english, in portuguese is Estilete): 7.5/10. actually a bit dissapointing, it worked, it cut me, but I expected more, one tiny pool of blood. painful.

Razor blade, (my personal favorite, no not the famous one, the hard ones, from the brand Gillete, model: Prestobarba 3): 9/10. Surprizingly huts less than the paper cutter and some others but bleeds a lot more, nearly the same as the scalpel. it loses in the fact that its a tiny blade harder to hold.

Now! As to the Rivaroxaban: Obviously it was not having it's effect as I cut, that was as intended. But after an hour and me then "opening" the wounds they didn't really bleed much more before stopping, I made a new cut with the scalpel to compare with the one done previously to see if it would bleed more, and it did, but not much more, I cant really say it was because of the pills which is dissapointing. But you know maybe the drugs didnt really kick off yet, so if I wake up in the middle of the night in a small pool of blood I will let you know.

To any moralists out there go fuck yourselves, at least I didn't kill myself, like I was considering earlier in the night, before I got this stupid idea.
Also side note I like to cut myself to see the blood, bleed. not that much for the pain.

I guess not as much, but it hurts, ( I personaly never broke anything by the way) specially if you cut slowly. but Fyi: Cutting is a very bad method for CBT, very slow and painful, and messy. low sucess rates, dont recomend.

But I have no other choice there is nothing in my house to hang. I want to use Ibropfin and cut my wrists 13 or 14 time hopefully I will die
If I don't then I will beat myself till I die

I want to buy Ibropfin tomorrow.
Why you like to cut your body if you know it hurts so much

I'm sorry it's come to this for you. ☹️😥. There is always a choice, in whatever you do. I'm not going to instruct, but as others have said, if death is sincerely your goal, this is unpredictable. 🤗♥️

FYI pocket knives can work great for cutting (I use one) you just have to sharpen them first. Most of your blades were painful probably because they were dull, which ironically hurts more. Also, human skin is tough stuff to get through so it dulls any blade fairly quickly. I usually touch up my knife before and after every session.

Nice guide. I hope it was cathartic to get it out. Also you're hopefully using good wound care procedures (washing, keeping clean, bandaging if necessary) as there are few things more demoralizing than getting an infection in a self-inflicted wound!

But I have no other choice there is nothing in my house to hang. I want to use Ibropfin and cut my wrists 13 or 14 time hopefully I will die
Unfortunately, you most likely won't. Wrists have relatively tiny veins and usually clot off (seal themselves) before you lose any significant amount of blood.
Why you like to cut your body if you know it hurts so much
For some people it's cathartic. It can help your brain shut off emotional pain by forcing it to focus on physical pain. It can also be a way to give yourself a feeling of control as you are the one deliberately injuring yourself. It's a terrible idea (coming from one who does it) but mental distress can lead us to do terrible things.

Just saying this as a long term self harmer myself, it's never a good idea to steal other people's medication, especially prescription-only stuff. They've got it for a reason. Leave it alone.

Missed this detail before. I get the self-harm but stealing medication from someone else is over the line. Please don't do this anymore.

Unfortunately for me, I suck at sharpening knifes, it seems so easy, but I just can't do it properly for some reason, I usually only fuck up the blade more.
