Hello. How are you, my friends?
I am Russian, and I translated the text using a translator. Sorry if the translation is a bit inaccurate.
I wanted to ask you something. This is my first time attempting suicide — I have never tried before. I have read about many different methods, but none of them seem suitable for me. I'd like to ask: if someone fills a plastic bag with lighter gas and inhales it, could it cause death? Does it have the same effect on the body as carbon monoxide? That is, if you fasten the bag around your neck to keep the gas in, will this lead to suicide? And how does this gas affect the human body?
Could you please tell me if anyone has tried something similar? Have there been similar cases of suicide? What do you think about this?

What's the point in creating multiple threads with exactly the same copy-pasted text?

Yes.

Both can produce hypoxia, but in different ways. The lighter gas (commonly some propane-butane mixture) is a simple asphyxiant, whereas carbon monoxide is a chemical (systemic) asphyxiant.

Depends on how you do that.
And how does this gas affect the human body?
The gas itself has a little effect on the body; the lack of oxygen in it is what can kill.
Could you please tell me if anyone has tried something similar?

Thank you very much for your reply. I'll check; if I posted the same thing twice, there's probably a mistake. I tried this. I put a plastic bag over my head. I stuck my hand inside the bag right in front of my nose. And then I released the gas from the lighter. I sealed it tightly on all sides. But I just started choking and pulled the bag out. I just couldn't gasp for air. I heard that when you stare at someone with carbon monoxide, you just fall asleep, lose consciousness, and die. This was different.

When you do gas asphyxiation in a proper way, loss of consciousness should occur within half a minute (or at most 1 minute) without any significant discomfort. Just releasing a random amount of gas into a bag and sniffing it has great chances of producing the sensations you described. If you seriously consider this method, you should learn its theoretical basis first.
