From the moment we are born until the moment we die, life is nothing more then an endless circle of wanting, and every day one must provide what our body demands otherwise it will remember us who is in charge. And those demands aren't by all means easy to accomplish. I feel so enslaved to my body's wishes.

Free will is an ilusion.

I came to the exact same conclusions. And while desires can be fun, they can also be unbearably painful. Imo, the pain outweighs the enjoyment, most of the time. Truly it's as you say, we are held hostage by biological imperatives. Such as in starvation, it's as if a gun is being put to your head, to eat. The sensations are equivalent in terms of the terror and urgency they produce.

And to me, it is all so unnecessary. Life is just meaningless suffering. We were all perfectly fine not existing until we were forced to live. I do not see any point to living, we have to endure so much and suffer all for the sake of it. More than anything I wish that I was never born.

I agree but I'm depressed. It's supposedly abnormal to feel little obligations are some kind of painful chore. When you are OK you do them without a second thought.

We are definitely enslaved by biological and social imperatives but the thing is that you aren't supposed to loathe all the shit you are forced to do every day, you should even like it.

I'm confused as to whether we just have a brain that's malfunctioning or we are closer to enlightenment than normies.

We seem to identity with our physical body and,get attached to the need for material stuff, under the falsehood that possessions make us happier. We slave away to own stuff that we dont take with us when we die.

yet i have seen kids in India who have nothing and yet their spirit of life is profound.

how does a fast car, monumental hair, dangling jewels, overdone toned body and golden smile, make us happy within?.

in the.end, it turns to dust .

Couldn't said it better myself. The pain outweighs the enjoyment by a looooong shot, at least in my life. Always been that way. I wonder what's the point of it all, if there is any.

If the atheist point of view is correct, then you are 100% right, but did you ever consider why there is something instead of nothing? It's a profund question, perhaps it wasn't all random, but then again, perhaps it was.

Yeah but it's so easy not to be able to meet those demands, even if you are not initialy depressed, and, funnily enough, not meeting those demands can make you depressed. Say you really want sex but can't get a girfriend/boyfriend, you are bound to be unhappy no matter what else you do.

Yes, materialism sucks, but aside of that I wonder what's the point of it all.
