Take care with your words online. You can be perceived by pro lifers as "encouraging" someone in offering observations and advice. Also if you make a pact and may wind up being the surviving partner, there can be trouble.
I've tried to gather legal information that seems as up to date as possible. But if you want to add something more meaningful to you, this could be a very useful thread.
This is the wiki international status of suicides, assisted suicides and euthanasia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_legislation
This seems to cover US states: https://www.robertreeveslaw.com/blog/causing-suicide/
There's Australia: https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Bills_Legislation/bd/bd0405/05bd133
and the UK (where we have really ancient law from the 60s, updated like this): https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...y-of-encouraging-suicide-in-pact-with-postman

Yes, strictly speaking and depending where you are located, any kind of advice or encouragement could be viewed as providing assistance to suicide which is why I think any user here should wipe their browsing history before CTB.

Here is a list of friendly groups that write and lobby these inhumane legislation and work actively against your rights.

I hate how we can't do much to counter them as they are just too powerful for us. The best we can do is just to secure our exit and protect our small sanctuary here from them. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Here are the actual legal documents relating to UK legislation, that I unsurprisingly neglected to put in the first post.
UK suicide act,1961: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/Eliz2/9-10/60
CPS guide to Suicide policy 2010,updated 2014: https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidan...espect-cases-encouraging-or-assisting-suicide

Many people have been following Michelle Carter's trial as it is very relevant when understanding the threat posed to us by these laws. (Discussing this with other pro-choicers,we decided that this could have happened to any one of us in reality). This article is a very interesting examination of how the long distance laws could affect us: https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2017/08/is-it-legal-to-encourage-suicide-in-australia/
