Legal implications of purchasing SN in Australia

So here I am, about to purchase my SN because I've decided 2023 will be my year. Then I find myself worrying about the legal implications of things just as I'm about to hit the Purchase button.

Am I just over thinking things? I assume buying this stuff is perfectly legal in Australia?

I tend to over think things a lot. There's no escape from my brain. It's a big part of why I want to catch that damn bus.

It used to be freely available but is in the process of being cracked down upon, though more in the sense of preventing sales than criminalising its possession. I bought mine inexpensively off eBay a couple of years ago, though it is certainly not available there anymore.

Even in cases of purchases of N, the worst thing that has happened is people being given small fines. Unless there's a risk of someone catching you with it and dobbing you in, this is not something I'd worry about.

i bought SN from an australian site recently, and it got delivered within 2 days. Most australian websites will ask for a license for SN, i found some that don't. so i think it's assumed the place you bought it from checked everything. I'm inclined to believe no one cares since it's not a drug

I'm sadly knowledgeable about this from experience. SN is completely legal in Australia however it's restricted and monitored. It might come in internationally if you're lucky and it's not searched. If it's found you will receive a welfare check. I don't have experience ordering domestically, but that seems like a better option.
