Leaving the note in my bedroom vs hotel room

I'm going to make two notes, one for my parents and one for the police. I'm ctb in a hotel room, possibly this weekend. I'm not sure if I should leave a copy in my bedroom (my parents won't look) or if I should leave them in the hotel room.

What is the most likely chance for my parents to receive the note? And will do leaving it in a hotel make it more likely for the police to rule it out as a suicide or the other way around? And will it make a difference if it's handwritten or typed? My handwriting is pretty bad.

If it makes a difference, the note will have some instructions as well as letting my family know it's NOT their fault and there is nothing they could have done. I was too far gone and I went out of my way to hide that I was suicidal.

I'd say leave the personal note to your family at home and have the one to the police with you at the hotel. A typed note is a more suspicious note, cause anyone could have written it. I'd suggest handwriting any notes.

I think you should leave both handwritten notes in the hotel room, because you don't want your parents to find your note in your bedroom if you fail your attempt.

You're right, go with this. Ignore what I said above and take both notes with you. I didn't think that part through.
