I can't take it anymore. I'm close to failing college, barely taking classes and doing homework. Fuck this I'm ending it, I don't want to be seen as a total failure that wasted their time and money. My parents should have listened to me when I requested to take a break since I was depressed, but they insisted that I should go. So now here I am in this miserable situation.

Was it college that made you depressed to start with, or did college become an extra burden after you were already depressed..? Do you think that your suicidality is a result of not seeing how you can succeed with your education?

Could you start another type of education instead - like trade school..? That may feel more meaningful, if a sense of meaning is what you are missing right now.

That does sound stressful and tiring. I know that it's awful when life just gets worse. I'm sorry that you suffer. I wish you the best.

I hear you. I'm in college too. The degree won't do me any good because I'm going to CTB.
I hope you feel better soon, my friend

I was depressed before going to college. It did become an extra burden to me, and I just wasn't passionate about it. Plus it was online so I was totally alone and had nobody to ask for help whenever I was stuck on something. Me failing is partly why I want to go suicide, there are other things that I am depressed about, but currently, this one is bothering me.

Trade school seems to be a lot more interesting and I'll consider it.

I'm not one to say "don't do it", but if you feel that you could find a way forwards and overcome this bout of depression, you might want to try it. I wish you good luck!

I'm somewhat in a similar situation except I have requested a break and my parents are pressuring me to reverse it. Very stressful situation and makes me want to ctb but unfortunately don't have sn on hand.
If it's possible maybe you can talk to a counsellor and maybe you can request a break right now, I was able to do it whilst failing.

Are you depressed? Please try ketamine. It may help you feel better.

You can redo your college courses. You can take a break ( I did).

Please review your options before you try this.

Its nice to see people relating to this. I feel like college really pushed me too far and my mental health can't take anymore but I'm scared to drop out cause I know a degree is valuable.
