As selfish as it sounds, my first wish was that I could have been a beneficiary. Having no money is a real problem.

This is inspiring. It sounds like he was ready to go and had made the rational decision to do so. He left on his own terms. At that age it's better to leave sooner than later as opposed to when things can get really bad. It's a tough method though. Too bad he couldn't have found this place and discovered a more peaceful method.
