Method knocking myself out with 96% alcohol beverage and drowning in a bathtub or swimming pool?

I have been thinking of the least painful way to commit suicide and I considered getting heavily drunk and drowning myself in my bathtub or swimming pool. I would drown while unconscious so do you think it would still be unpleasant/painful? Does it depend on how drunk I am or…?

Depends on how drunk.

If you aren't drunk enough you won't black/pass out when you get in the water.

Then again if you drink too much you may just get sick before you black/pass out and start barfing.

This in my opinion is not a reliable method but if it's your method of choice I would ingest more than just alcohol.

Don't know if it's painless but some people died from going swimming heavy drunk, you may pass out by some metabolism stuff happening in your body if I should guess.

I think your body probably will struggle and you will feel both panic and pain. I wouldn't do this, my friend.

Taking more than alcohol is preferrable else your body will switch to survival mode. Barbiturates or benzos seem to be popular for this.

Whitney Houston took alcohol, xanax and cocaine in 2012. Xanax is a powerful sedative.

Delores O'Riordan took alcohol and fentanyl in 2018. Fentanyl is a powerful painkiller and anaesthetic.

Both adorable songbirds "drowned" peacefully in the hotel bathtub. I have always suspected their deaths to be suicides.

Use chloroform. Alcohols nasty and will make u throw up

If you ingest antifreeze and pass out in the water will you still drown - like if youre unconscious when you fall under what you stop breathing so would you still drown ? considering antifreeze + hot tub
