I never once understood why Tik Tok is so famous. Also, kids shouldn't just mindlessly follow these Tik Tok challenges. She didn't want to die but mistakenly died because of some useless challenge. But I do agree that it is a good way to CTB.

TikTok users accidentally ctb'ing chasing clout. RIP .

Honestly wtf? People straight up valuing ("Likes")points and clout more then their own lives. Risking life, limb, everything for a chance at temporary internet fame.

At least the girl in the report was a 10yo, young enough to actually be this dumb. But there cases of older users in ther late teens essentially ctb'ing for clout.

Kids died doing black out challenges before social media, now they just get to blame social media for it spreading and not whoever passed the information on.
When I was in in primary school in the 00s there was kids who were hospitalised doing this exact thing but we called it "choking game" or something and my parents taught me the same thing happened in the 80s and 90s too

something similar happened in the uk, a little boy who was became brain-dead doing that challenge. it was in the press for ages about whether he could be taken into hospice care and die there but it was deemed too dangerous to transport him. very sad.

The tourniquet method sounds risky and terrifying to me, I so envy those kids who seemed to die so easily, they managed to escape a whole future filled with suffering. I think that people who attempt methods like that are so brave, I hate how hard it is to voluntarily leave this world.

First I hear of people recording their suicides on discord, with viewers even egging them on despite changing their mind mid way and unsure if to call for emergency services. Now I'm hearing of this.

Man I didn't think social media could get anymore screwed up, but this topic proved me wrong. Humanity is truly an absolute disgrace.

Blaming TikTok is like blaming Black Sabbath for people playing their records backwards and killing themselves.

e choking game has been around forever long before idiocy like tiktok. Play silent Hill Shattered Memories. It's referenced there.
