Don't know much about KCN. Seems like one of the high profile cases from alt.suicide.holiday used this method. Maybe it was popular on there back in the day?

KCN is harder to get, dangerous for the people who find you, and apparently quite painful even if it does kill you very quickly.

SN for me. KCN is too mainstream. Jk but that shit is impossible to get unless you're in a cult, (apparently) or and experienced chemist, and they say it can be painful.
I just checked PPehH ratings for KCN and it scored 10/10 for reliability but only 5/10 for peacefulness (which IMO is quite mediocre 
). But the most important aspect for me is Speed 5/5 (which is really fast!)

I can't remember seeing an actual CN ctb here and only one case of someone obtain SA.
Mainstream? Really?! It's quite the opposite actually (if compared to hanging, jumping, drowning, and other gruesome CTB method).
