Im thinking about handcuffing a tractor weight to my ankles via leg and handcuffs and tossing myself out a kayak. Seems like a safe method if no one on the lake sees me. Here's the weight:

Drowning is very painful. If you are more worried about reliability than painlessness though, it's probably a good shot.

You shouldn't attempt this, you're setting yourself up for an extremely painful death.

I read that drowning isn't as bad as people think it is. On some history site if I remember correctly. It was said to "not fight it" and that you'd be delirious very quickly.

But I don't know how they know. How do you test this?

Good luck either way!

How about a rubber dinghy that you let the air out of after taking a ton of sleeping pills? I'm on the sleeping pills train currently but that seems like a decent enough method if you have access to remote waters.

Legit question... do you go unconscious less quickly with drowning over hanging?

If so, then why is drowning any worse than hanging?

If not, then why not?

Thanks

It sounds like a very uncomfortable way to die, perhaps you should get yourself heavily drunk first. but someone could see you and save you while you are drowning and you would end up with serious brain damage.

Hanging is much less painful than drowning because blood flow to the brain is cut off so you should be unconscious in 20 seconds tops, often quicker. Breathing water into your lungs is torture

Sounds scary to me, I had nightmares of drowning as a kid but if you are brave enough to do this then that is inspiring. Good luck, I'd like to listen in on the conversation on the lake when you're explaining to some random person what the hell you're doing with a tractor weight in your kayak.

That's why I wouldn't be drunk. I wouldn't be able to see ppl on boats coming my way

It's a good spiritual way to die because you will be surrounded by nature when you CTB especially if it's a lake instead of like hanging yourself in a damp and boring bedroom. Nothing against hanging. It is indeed faster and less agonizing.

Dying by nature just sounds more peaceful to me even if it is painful.

This will definitely be my backup CTB plan if I can't get the night night method to tick.

Drowning is far better than most normal deaths more than likely.

Imagine how bad it's going to be to live this thing out. Suicide definitely must happen for me somewhere along the line to avoid being dependent on idiots at Hospice to give me enough damn morphine to OD instead of letting me suffer for a month.

But how to surely drown?
