Venting just woke up from nightmare

its 4:28 am , I slept for an hour but woke up from a nightmare. I am alone and lonely. suffer from trauma . Why does this mind play with memories like this? I try to make myself strong by not thinking about what happened but still it comes back. sorry - just venting

Hey, I hope you are feeling better right now. From personal experience, the best you can do about nightmares are acknowledging they are just a dream and trying to not think about it. If it's gonna make you relax, would you like to tell more about it? If not, thats perfectly fine. You should try getting some rest once you calm down

Thanks Friend, I am much better now. drank some water. It's hard to explain what I saw. I am trying to divert my mind by playing some music.

I've been trying to get past a relationship that was abusive and to just stop thinking about him. I have been pretty successful in not thinking about him during the day but have started dreaming about him instead. It's like I can't get away from him no matter what I do. So frustrating!

I believe that it's very true that there's no peace even in sleep, as this life can find ways to torture us even when we are trying to rest. After all, there is simply no escape from ourselves and our thoughts as long as we stay here in this cruel world, but anyway best wishes.

I dreamed last night that my family came back. My wife told me my friend was there to pick me up. A bus rolled up and a close friend that died due to GBM4 hopped off, with a full head of hair (he lost his during treatment) and told me to hop on board. Not sure what to make of that.
