I would do something like this also if I was wealthy. If you have so much money you're never going to be able to spend it all, I don't know why you wouldn't want to spread it around a little bit.

Good for you. I'm not rich by any standard but when I'll kick the proverbial bucket my inheritance will go various charities. There's too much evil, injustice and pain in this world and as I don't feel my presence here amounts to much at least that way I'll have had some minor impact on the world. In a good sense.
