My parents bullshit keeps spiraling out of control, now it's to the point where we might lose power and we already near starving.
Before anyone asks, yes I do live with my parents they've effectively trapped me with them in their bullshit. No I have absolutely no one to rely on, I don't have income of my own, I don't have transportation, and things just keep getting worse because my parents are fucking stupid and will do NOTHING to help the situation until everything has already fell apart.

This was a video taken from this morning

Apparently my mom has been going around knocking on stranger's doors asking her delusional bullshit too which I kinda already figured she was doing shit like that. At least she didn't run off with the car this time because I had the keys. I woke up to my dad screaming her name then talking about how the lights will get turned off soon.

WHY CAN'T ANYTHING GOOD HAPPEN TO ME FOR ONCE???!!!

Okay, before I can give suggestions, can you let me know where you live (approximately) and age range - are you a minor? Your post suggests mental health issues with your mother, does your father have any health issues? Are they both employed?

I don't need specifics but just enough for an idea to know where to send you for assistance.

I'm an adult, early 20s, southeast USA-Georgia
My mother has mental health issues and my dad is disabled and has been for over a decade roughly. He has a slew of physical ailments, the stroke that disabled him all those years ago, diabetic for my entire life, high blood, near kidney failure and is on dialysis and I'm sure I'm missing some. Neither of them are employed, my mom lost her only source of income back in around August. She says she doesn't wanna work but she also refused to go on food stamps (i had to), get her unemployment checks (she'd just meltdown with her delusions when either my dad or me tried to tell her to do them), she's eligible for disability since she tried killing herself in November but I doubt she'll apply, she's a lost cause and I can't take care of either of them.

As for myself I obviously struggle with depression and anxiety. I can't barely function myself and I flip flop with nearly killing myself to being in a slump. I don't qualify for disability since I haven't seen a doctor or psychiatrist. Employment has been tough to find and my job search has lasted for over 2 years atp. There's only 1 car so I'm limited in where I can go bc of my dad's dialysis appointments being every other day and also I only got my license in 2024 so I'm still not accustomed to driving and it's a HUGE anxiety inducer for me.

Alright - that gives me enough info to give some suggestions. To be clear, I have no first-hand experience with Georgia's social assistance programs but they do seem to be a step up from Mississipi, Alabama and West-Virgina.

There appears to be 2 critical issues you are dealing with: 1) financial insecurity caused by your parent's health issues; 2) your own struggles with depression and anxiety.

For immediate help or to access services, contact the Georgia Crisis & Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225. This line is available 24/7 and can connect individuals to the most appropriate local resources, including mobile crisis teams if necessary. The following is from a few searches I did:

State-Funded Services
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) oversees the public mental health system, which primarily serves uninsured individuals, those on Medicaid/Medicare, or those with limited income. Services are often provided on a sliding-scale fee based on income.
  • Community Service Boards (CSBs): These are local mental health providers throughout Georgia that offer core services such as psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual and group counseling, case management, and peer support programs. To find your nearest CSB, you can use the DBHDD location finder or call GCAL.
  • Behavioral Health Crisis Centers (BHCCs): These centers offer 24/7 walk-in access for psychiatric assessment and intervention to help stabilize individuals in crisis and prevent hospital visits.
  • Mobile Crisis Response Services: These teams provide immediate, on-site crisis management and assessment, available 24/7 via the GCAL number.
  • Peer Support, Wellness, and Respite Centers: Run by peers in recovery, these centers offer a non-clinical environment for support, wellness, and short-term respite stays (up to seven nights) to help prevent a crisis.

Non-Profit and Community Organizations
Numerous non-profits also provide essential services and support:
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Georgia: NAMI offers free, peer-led support groups and educational programs for individuals with mental illness and their families. They have a non-crisis helpline at (770) 408-0625.
  • Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network (GMHCN): This organization operates a Peer-to-Peer Warmline at (888) 945-1414, available daily, for non-crisis support and connection with others who have lived experience.
  • United Way 211 Help Line: By dialing 211 (or 404-614-1000 outside metro Atlanta), individuals can get information and referrals to various local social services, including mental health care.

Now, some "off the top" of my head ideas: Assuming your dad is aware of the severity of your mother's mental issues, then he can request "guardianship" to make the disability applications on your mother's behalf. If he is not capable, then the Georgia version of the "public trustee" may take over that application process. Use the above agencies to determine all benefits that you and your family may be entitled; then get the forms filled out. Many of those are going to require medical forms to be completed. I fully understand how difficult this may be for you but I am hoping the agencies have coordinators to assist with the application process. See if you can have virtual medical attendances. Get a case worker to assist.

If you can only do one phone call a day, then that's all you can do. Try not to get overwhelmed - I know it's easier said than done.

Edit because I can't type...
