Friday nite,I got a little scared,as you were talking about how SN is being withdrawn. So I bought some! I just opened up the box. First its two goddamn pounds! I won't need that much!
It says 99%+ ,food grade and the CAS number is on the bottle,CAS 7632 00 0. So this looks like quality stuff. Made in USA,hell yeah!!!
Lately I have been feeling less ctb,but who knows. Life is shit,its going to get worse,I don't see much of a chance,but we'lll see.
My tag is expired Lets hope the cops don't stop me while I have it here in the car.

I got my SN from the same place you did. There are a few concerns for me though. Doesn't it sound too good to be true that we purchased 2lbs of SN for $10? Also, if you look at the bottle...where it has the list of warnings. Look at ingestion: It says to rinse mouth thoroughly. Isn't that strange? I'm just wondering if we were actually sold pure nitrite. They sell Nitrate too, and I'm wondering if they gave that to us. The rest of the label matches up like the CAS# etc. But something just doesn't feel right. Do you have a way to test it?

It's not hard to make if you have the setup for it, it's just illegal to sell it to non-businesses. I bought a 2 lb bag of the regular curing salt (only 6.25% SN) at a nearby grocery store for $10. There's a way to easily purify it at home up to 82%, since it only takes 2g to kill you anyways.

You can test if yours is pure SN by buying a gallon of distilled water on amazon or from walmart for a few dollars, measure 100mL and heat it to 77 F/ 25 C, measure 90g of the salt you have and try to dissolve it. If it all dissolves, then it's probably not SN, and if it doesn't all dissolve (but most of it does), then it's most likely pure SN. You can buy a cheap scale on amazon, along with an accurate digital thermometer all for under $25 I think.

Waiting for mine to arrive, it's supposed to on the 11th. (Got it from IC.) I wish it would come sooner; thought I'd be feeling better right now but it's only getting worse. Part of me just wants to use a torniquet and get it over with but I know that if I try that in my house I'll surely be found. Any advice?

Some have done the "blood test," where you add the sn to some of your blood. Of course,if you have a willing friend,you could use their blood. if it turns A certain color,its good. You can search the site for details on this,from those who did it.
There's another test,where you buy strips from an aquarium?? Not sure about this,again if you search you can find it.
They have a Better Business Bureau rating of A+,so that's good.
I am not ctb right away, I just have this to feel safer.

I don't think the aquarium strips test very accurately, pretty sure they would max out with even the most impure SN.
