I've just received my package of 1.5g dried mushroom. The strain is called "Penis Envy".
I'm really anxious. I keep wondering if I should take it or not.

Various websites warn that if you have / had mental illness you shouldn't take it. This is a contradiction, because shrooms have mental healing properties, if I don't have mental problems, why should I buy it in the first place for ?

Can anyone give me an advice ? How do I deal with bad trip ? I don't have any friend to talk to.

Hi, I am experienced with Shrooms myself. 1.5g is not a huge dose, I believe the dose is often 3.5g as a regular dose. However, they always reocmmend to start with a smaller dose and start low and slow.

Look on the 'Third Wave' website about shrooms and look into both a big dose and a microdose. The Third Wave is a very good website.

I have found that taking shrooms makes me less anxious rather than more anxious. More present and more connected with my emotions, and less 'spaced out'.

To support yourself, I recommend to have music on a playlist. There is a 'John Hopkins Psilocybin' playlist on Spotify. Here is more information about the playlist - psychedelics work well with music. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/articles/inside-the-johns-hopkins-psilocybin-playlist

Make yourself a comfy nest! Ideally, wear a blindfold and headphones and breathe into the trip.

If you would like someone to be there with you and give you reassurance, over the phone/Signal, I would be happy to support you a little. I am quite busy with work at the moment, but I would be happy to be there. I am based in London, but could do it remotely on some kind of anonymous channel, so you wouldn't need to reveal your identity and you woudln't need to be alone. I have some training in counselling skills, so I would just try and listen and reflect back, and if you were getting scared, I would aim to reassure you.

A good friend of mine is a trained therapist and trip sitter. It's such a shame he cannot advertise his services publicly! I am considering tripping with him, as he is so well trained.

I was with friends when I first took shrooms and they were awesome my first time. I have sometimes foudn them a little scary, but for me they are an encounter with a daunting intelligence that is more intelligent than me, and that is what I find a little scary.

There are people who have bad trips, but it is rare to have long-lasting effects from shrooms.

Avoid them if you have schizophrenia or psychosis though...And I don't know re Bipolar. Please look into your own mental health condition and if it is safe to combine.

I am always happy to chat about pscyhedelics, which have been of great assistance to me, and you are welcome to PM me pre or post taking them if that will be helpful for you.

All best wishes, J

If you're genuinely close to suicide anyway I don't see the worry for people about it going bad, if you have a self defeatist personality you will get the demons constantly giving you waves of fear but if you can think of something you love, could be as simple as band, movie, comedian etc. Who talks about drugs. There's thousands of things you can do, anything that makes you feel positive really.

You will probably have to let go of resentment and be willing to change.
Mushrooms help far more than they ever harm, and when they do harm that's because of this flawed sick world.

The poster above I believe is being very kind but do be careful before you get into an exchange with a stranger... You are extremely vulnerable, there's Alot of horrid prowlers online that could get to your money or worse, your mind. Just get to know people and remember not to not to reveal personal details and if you sense bad energy leave.
If you feel confident enough you won't let your guard down then it's great to see the different perspectives.
Psychedelics can make you feel everyone is nice, nobody has evil intentions and nobody wants to harm others but living on planet earth unfortunately you'll be wrong and being on psychedelics can be a way of of teaching you this.

I'm sure you'll appreciate the new values you experience.
Have a good one I hope you see great benefit.. If I'd have took mushrooms in my youth I wouldn't be here.

Re how to deal with a bad trip - I think though I have never had to do this myself that you can stop a trip with Valium (I have never had a trip that is really bad, apart from one time but it passed). Here is an article about this: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/article-abstract/340458

This article is quite 'don't do drugs kids' and is a bit too much on the warning side, but the advice at the bottom of the article is helpful : https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-a-bad-trip-22071

I've not watched this yet - but this could be useful. It's on how to kill a trip:

Here's a good article on dealing with trips: https://maps.org/articles/5953-refinery29-7-ways-to-help-someone-who-s-having-a-bad-trip

I love this idea. Maybe just put on a funny movie if you are tripping and not having fun. Change your state/change your mind.

I foudn it helpful on LSD to talk at length - at the time about wanting to die. The next day I woke up and I felt better, I was no longer bedridden with depression. It was awesome. But ideally you put on a blindfold and go into the trip! I had my eyes open and kept talking!!! To my family and boyfriend as I was so depressed and bedridden at the time, i took 3 tabs of LSD in utter desperation.
ps the trip killer video seems a bit extreme! I wouldn't worry that much!!! But it might have advices on substances othat can stop a trip.

I've never had a terror trip myself. Just one time that wasn't pleasant, but by the morning it had ended and I was back to my usual horrible depression.

I would do almost anything to escape the horror of depression!
The video is quite ridiculous so far.....so please don't let it put you off. Also 1.5g is not a high dose.

Signing off for now!
Here are trip killers according to that video (which as I say is quite exterme!) but he just says it's worth having a 'trip killer' just in case:

Ps I also recommend looking into San Pedro. I haven't ordered mine yet, but it sounds very gentle and safe to take by yourself in nature and is good for depression. Better even than psilocybin and LSD from the research I have read.

Good advice.
People are against it but the benzodiazepene (valium) is always great advice. It doesn't make you weak if you need it, it's just we live in a society not designed to experience these things, nature did not intend them to be taken around so many people and big machines, toxic fumes, poisoned water etc.

That's great you had such a positive experience.
I only managed to use lsd one time and it was 3tabs also so about 300ug max I guess, but had a really strong trip where I could see the different frequencies/vibrations in the air and bizarre synchronicities were happening.
The universe playing with me.
Tripping and talking about traumas and other problems is getting studied alot these days I think MDMA is supposedly going to be passed first.
These things are illegal to keep us in states of feeling fear, weak, powerless.
Take care

I just listened to the video - I like what he said at the end: Change your music, change your environment, speak to a friend (if you don't have a friend to speak to, call the Samaritans. They are there to listen.

He also says practice meditation and breathe through it. Try to work through the feelings, that psychedelics can show you. He says they have helped him heal countless times. Just meditation alone is a fantastic tool - an anti-needing trip killer tool - if you are proficient in meditation and have the discipline to do it, that alone is a pre-emptive measure against ever needing a trip killer....

The truth is as long as you are in a safe place - e.g. not on a cliff edge, then you are pretty safe tripping, no matter what you are feeling. Just sit and breathe with discipline and not panicking. He says if you are panicking then take the trip killer.

@TooConscious I use Valium maybe once every two weeks. I'm going through a workplace bullying situation at the moment, so I use it when I am very stresed/distressed. It is great - and I am using it wisely. Again, anyone with addictive tendencies, I would recommend weed over valium any day!! But Valium is helpful as a tool. YOu can get it on the black market if your doctor won't prescribe it. My doctor gave me 10 pills maybe one time.

They definitely heal you.
I feel like my brain is having some sort of electricifation, but I have been too damaged by humans and this society that Its just the same thing everytime, my body/mind trying subconsciously to salvage anything from my shitty life in this evil hellhole.
Sounds like youre being careful.
I enjoyed the relief valium gave me too much so two 10mg tabs (which is a high dose as it is) quickly turned into 5 tabs a day.

Its as addictive as anything else and the withdrawal takes ages..
If you are going through shit and only taking once a fortnight you are a strong person so hopefully won't need them at all after you get through this situation with horrible people.
Give yourself a break and take comfort in knowing if things get worse you still have room to take a few more but if you've managed as hard as things have been so far do you really need to... Well done. Be well.

1.5g is a small dose, but "Penis Envy" tends to be more potent. Chop it up, put it in lemon juice, let it sit for about 45 min, then add sugar and water to make lemonade. The lemon juice makes it kick in harder. It absolutely works, you can Google "lemon tek"

If you start having a bad hit just keep telling yourself it's the mushrooms, they're natural, they won't harm you and the affects only last 12 hours (good or bad it won't be forever). If I start tripping out those rationalisations are what keep me grounded till I'm OK again xx
Even if I'm saying it only lasts 12 hours for 3 cycles x

I have always been curious although I did not get to consume them, it would be nice if you would tell your experience if you end up trying them.

Hello to @Fehler and who may concern about my post:

I did try the mushroom last Sunday, but was procastinated to write a detail report. Here's what happen:
  1. I cut the dried mushroom into small parts, put those parts in Twister orange juice. I drank it all at 8:15 PM.
  2. 10 minutes after drinking, I didn't feel a thing. I thought the shroom was not going to work, since I forgot to chew them while drinking. (The seller advised this).
  3. 15 minutes after drinking, I got to my bed. I thought I got some "high" from it, but the feeling was very subtle. Still nothing powerful happen. Still thinking it was not going to work. That was my biggest mistake.
  4. 20 minutes after drinking, I got some uncontrollable laughter. The laughs come and go.
  5. 25 minutes after drinking, I felt sad and lonely. I missed my mom. I felt like my mom is the only shelter I got from this very human life. I cried a lot in this stage. I truly felt sad.
  6. After that, I went asleep. Not sure how long, but when I "woke up", that was also when the "true trip" began. The experience was indeed very strange and unique. First I started seeing various colours and geometric structures, dancing around my space. Then I heard a "deity", a God, it talked to me.
It was an "invisible" deity, but it was very holistic, dignity being, to the point that it forces me to be humble, my Ego has to step back and venerate the deity. I felt like standing before me was a powerful, universal "Mother". The deity told me our self is just an illusion, even the universe itself is just an illusion.

I experienced "ego loss" state. I got transferred into a strange dimension, there were times I didn't remember who am I, I felt like time didn't exist. A 1 hour can feel like eternity.

7. After the trip, I felt my head hurts so bad. My ears also became more sensitive, I could hear my breath more clearly.
But still, the trip didn't solve my problem. After come back to my old self, my horrible depression and suicidal come back even stronger than before. Maybe my trauma was too deep to handle.

It's been decades since I last tripped (LSD, in the 90's. I had a pretty amazing revelation, regarding the idea of "God" being a "circle", on my first trip that set me on a philosophical path. I think I'd like to try one last trip before I go, to see if it changes my outlook.
