Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

One of the worst things that people do is pretend like they actually care because in reality they don't care as long as they are okay. There's so many people I've just straight up told I'll probably ctb one day and they sorta just shrug it off or laugh even if I'm deadly serious which is actually pretty fucked up if you think about it. It's pretty lonely to think about not gunna lie…

my experience with people is that they really only think about themselves at the end of the day. if something wont directly inconvenience them, they dont care at the end of the day. i totally get what youre saying.

Either they don't believe you or they think you are exaggerating or they don't care.
If they don't care , are they really even friends/family ?

I think a lot of people just don't know how to respond. It's just like how we respond to the deaths of loved ones so strangely...sometimes you can be surprised by how it seems like you don't care, but it's more just a natural, subconscious reaction to a feeling of helplessness and inability to change something. When people tell me their problems, maybe it's the autism, but I often just feel like there's absolutely nothing I can do to help them, not because they're invalid or weak, but because when someone has reached such a low point, it's hard to think that you could do anything more than they could do for themselves, aside from just "being there". I think it's similar with everyone. This is why I don't tell anyone about my suicidality anymore. There's barely anything they could do, so it's not worth giving them that dilemma.

That's understandable it's good to hear that kinda perspective tbf and I get that it's just kinda crap when it's the people who claim to care but is obvious that they just don't :/

I just think the reality is that as humans we are all alone, most people are certainly too self centred to ever care about the suffering of other people, and you just cannot trust and rely on people in this world. Most people certainly just care about what directly affects themselves and this is the reality, at least to me it's a terrible idea being open to people who won't even try to understand as humans certainly can be so cruel and insensitive.

That doesn't come as a shock to me since people are selfish and only care for their own existence. They're incredibly cruel and insensitive to others needs. Personally, I believe most people can never be relied and thus we should never open up to them as nothing fruitful can be gained from interacting with such people. After all, there is no point opening up to people who won't even try to understand you.
