Anyone know of reliably jumping spots in the UK? As in places with no history of people surviving from jumping there? Or failing that just places you happen to know of? I know there are many many possible spots but I'd like to choose one that is known to do the job if possible.

Known to do the job guaranteed = beachy head.

But I would consider the following, assuming you don't want to visit a psych ward, if you plan on going there (from my experience):

- It's ideal to be 100% certain of your decision, so that you would be able to jump soon after reaching the spot. The patrol team will intervene if you look slightly 'suspicious', or even if you are just near the edge. If you can go for a walk to check the area out without looking strange, then that's fine too.

- However, others should not be suspicious that you have gone missing to ctb. Police managed to track me down very quickly, and the history of seeking medical help for mental health issues did not help my case that I had gone there just for a walk.

- Don't go missing or arise suspicion - tell others you're going for a holiday, book the time off work, etc. Sounds obvious but my case was treated with urgency, and my words were not trusted because I was a missing person

There are various other bridges across the country where people have jumped from successfully, however I don't think any of them beat beachy head in terms of it being a sure thing. It's a beautiful place too. Sorry it's come to this and good luck with your decision.

Not finding any
I guess they wouldn't want to advertise it even if there were, but obviously if there's a straight drop that's high enough, there won't be any problems. I don't know the minimum recommended jump heights for land and water but they're available somewhere and the approximate numbers for dunnet head should be too. Just be very very careful that there are no ledges in the way of the jump.

I doubt will do this for number reasons
