Why am I so hesitant to do these things ? After so much research I am now realizing that maybe something inside the comfort of home would be better. But one would result in a quick death (jumping from new river gorge) and the other a potential failure .... ughh

Have to choose a method that suits you. For me reading the resources guide gave me all the information I needed to make a choice.

Suffocation is my worst fear so I could never hang myself. I know someone who jumped off a 15 story building and died. How high is this River gorge? Is there anyway you can jump from a building?

Look into the SN method as well. It can be done at home if you can prevent being found before the job is done. Hanging is not really a very good method. If not done right, it can take a while and you are feeling yourself suffocate the whole time.

If I had to choose hanging would be my preference. From my research and experiments it is really peaceful. Depending on your pain tolerance I would say it is pretty painless as well. This is for partial though.

Would you mind sharing any research/instructions on partial hanging you have? It's a method I'm considering as an alternative to SN but I'm not technically minded at all.

Everything I learned was in the megathread and resources on this site. For experimentation you need an anchor point where you can hold the end of the rope yourself without tying a knot. It's easier to do when you know there's no risk of it being final.

Unfortunately I only have access to a belt .. No rope
