I have. I.am still considering it . I could make it look like an accident and it seems like a nice place to go too.

This is one of the methods I have considered in the past. Depending on the season, especially if it is late summer, this would be very effective due to hyperthermia, dehydration, exhaustion, on top of falling to death. In the event that the fall doesn't result in death, then dehydration and hyperthermia would finish one off.

However, since I have my method (shotgun), I would not resort to this as I am able to exit at any moment's notice.

I think a shotgun will eventually be my method also.. I'm just afraid of messing it up and not dying... I am most worried about the recoil messing my shot up.

If you are using a long gun (shotgun), then barrel in the mouth, angled at a 30-45 degrees and the stock of the gun at the floor or held in between your legs, but enough for your to still reach the trigger, then you should be able to control some of the recoil. However, I think that recoil is mostly irrelevant as the shot exits the muzzle of the barrel you would be dead/unconscious within milliseconds thus not being able to feel it. Just make you aim it correctly and don't try to anticipate the recoil as you won't likely feel like once the shot leaves the muzzle of the barrel.

Man, I wished @TiredHorse is here because he can explain things in even more fine detail than me.

I'd just need someone to take me there. Not my preferred way to go, but if I were still around and had the opportunity I'd do it.

I think this would be a beautiful way to go - also plenty of venomous snakes in the canyon if you're hiking it

Arizona is a long way away from where I am. I've been considering jumping from Beachy Head cliff on south coast of UK. What I just stand at the edge, unable to jump off? Perhaps I'd need to intoxicate myself to overcome the survival instinct :[

I've been there once. I never saw a spot that was an actual cliff or drop off. Not to be a buzzkill but it would be more of a gradual and painful tumble down and you'd probably get caught on trees... I don't know that's just what I saw. Probably there is a spot you could find that would be a straight drop but it would take a bit of walking, cool idea nevertheless. Maybe the skywalk, I didn't see that...
