Hello,

What are everyone's thoughts about jumping off of a high location?

It's not ideal, rather a last resort.

Thanks for your input!

its good if the height is proper. For example, beachyhead is 400+ feet and you won't survive it no matter what anyone says. No one has survived it and you probably won't either.

100 feet minimum but my preference is 200+. I want certainty.

It can be done with little to no preparation as long as you can overcome your survival instinct. I would suggest jumping from at least 200ft (>95% fatality rate).

Good method if you jump from high enough. I doubt I could go through with it. Don't look down

What does everyone think about jumping off a high hotel around 30 floors?

Would this guarantee CTB?

Anything above 10 floor will kill you instantly if you land in a hard surface, no matter what people say about probabilities.

Get drunk before you do it. Jump when you start feeling sleepy.

Hope you tried everything to resolve your issues. Good luck.

Not always the case, getting drunk can make your body relax, making it more of a chance of survival, (depending on height) its something I was warned of on this site before.

Just be careful you don't fall on a tree or car bumper. You might survive and end up disabled.

Not that I encourage people to CTB. But I give people a lot of props who can work up the courage to go through with this method. I feel my whole life will flash before my eyes during the time it takes to hit the ground.

It's my third option but if I wasn't too scared or rational it would definitely be my first.

trust me when you are stood at the top looking down, the feeling is describable! I had no fear, just a sense of pure freedom!

So there is definitely a possibility for me to land on a parked car, or tree, or even garden of the hotel.

I may even land in a larger balcony of another room =(

If that happens will I not CTB even though the distance is 30 floors?

That's a possibility that I will. You feel that then I will survive even with 30 floors? Is the most important thing about this where you land?

Thanks!

Please assure me that this is true, about beachy head, that it is indeed high enough. Thinking backwards would be best.

So I'll be jumping off a hotel probably just 20 floors

I'm going to hit asphalt or whatever other type of material is on the roof (not sure what the material is but it's not cement).

Is this material not being cement (most likely it being asphalt) going to mess up my chances of dying on impact?

I'm reading that cement is 50 times stronger than asphalt, so now I'm really worried if what I'm hitting will be enough

Jumping was one of my fallback plans if SN didn't work. I obsessed about Beachy Head for months. Jumping is fine if you can get over the survival instincts and jump from a high enough place. If you survive you will probably have life changing injuries, keep that in mind.

Where is that? Is it over water? I would never jump over water. Only because I think the impact can ( depending on the angle of impact) cause great pain and possible paralysis and there is a chance a person would die from drowning before losing conciousness, rather than almost instantly over say a solid cement surface

I don't have the courage to jump. I really wish I did...

If you're falling 20 floors I wouldn't be too worried about what surface you land on.

You absolutely need to care about the surface! Asphalt should be fine for a 20 floor jump, but a car roof, snow, or piles of garbage would not be.

I was speaking in the sense of what ground to land on (ie concrete, asphalt), not objects like rubbish that could block the fall.

That being said I do not understand how a car stopped that man from dying. The human body is annoyingly good at surviving.

Unlike other ctb methods, jumping is essentially foolproof. The only risk is, of course, DEATH. The velocity of your body falling from a great height kills you before you have hit the ground, I have read. I have also seen videos of jumpers hitting the ground. Surprisingly, there was little mess.

People have survived a jump from Beachy Head cliffs, but it is because they hit a ledge or shelf on the way down.

eta: Here a better article on it. He crash through the glass windshiled, break the glass and land on the back of the car seats.

That man survived because he landed on the roof of a car and crash through the windshield. The windshield are glass so it absorb his fall, and the car further absorb more of his fall.
Therefore he didn't hit the ground/concrete. So it not free fall, he fall onto something and that something absorb the impact. Free fall is when you go straight down with nothing got in the way.

There was a case where a man survived because he landed on a big glass building (and he fall higher than 39 stories), the glass shatter to pieces and he survived. In fact he was dangling on a wire where the glass building was. Again, it wasn't free fall, he didn't even hit the ground, lol. He dangling on the glass building roof.

39 stories is still not high enough, lol.

Again, I wouldn't jump unless it 2,000 feet or more. If I don't hit terminal velocity, I won't jump. Terminal velocity is 1,500 feet. I go 2,000 feet or more just to be safe lol.

I read an article that someone became paralysed from the jump that turned me off Beachey head when I was there also the patrols. When I try I'm going to cut my throat then when I feel I'm dying roll off a high cliff. Then I will increase my chances. I have terrible luck it's one of the reasons I am having to double up
