Obesity increases the chances of dying from many things.

In all seriousness, I don't think you'll find a definitive answer. If you plug in some physics equations it's possible that a person with higher mass might impact with more force at the same velocity than someone who was literally as light as a feather, but the answer isn't anywhere as simple as that. There are a lot of factors that determines injuries and whether or not someone lives or dies.

In general, a healthy person has better chances of surviving any kind of injury.
