Judegmental assholes on reddit

I posted a theard on reddit asking women over 30 where they were at my age. I do mention i am sucidial and most likely end it all after the lockdown ends.

Some of the women were helpful others where not
One of the women posted saying i need to stop whingeing and do something about it as they are people who are homeless and i am not straving. I am being selfish for wanting to end it all ansld i am choosing to feel sorry for myself. That comment really hurt me. I deactivated my account anyway

I know people have it harder than i do.
I live in the UK . Most uk workers on furlough meaning the goverment is paying thier wages while they sit at home. People on furlough are still choosing to work.The workers on furlough are managing to get all the supermarket jobs and others jobs in the UK.

Before the covid 19 i still struggled to find a job. I am actually very powerless in this situation.

Yeah don´t share your problems on Reddit they are all pro-lifers and toxic as shit and chances are you post will be taken down for mentioning suicide as with most sites I even got a thread deleted asking for the original Peter Pan book where he kills the lost boys so they won´t grow old I mean the censorship is insane.

This. This is why I never ever post anything like this on reddit. But like the comment quoted, also 30, happy to answer as well. Don't take it personally, it's easy to sit behind a keyboard and type, harder to actually live in your situation with your thoughts.

have been on reddit too for a while, it was cool at the beginning but slowly i noticed people being really rude towards others, insulting and being disrespectful..
i left it too a few months ago, i find it sad that they wont allow pro-choice sub reddits, its the perfect place for pro-lifers^^

Even places like r/depression are unbearable for me, it looks like, instead of helping, the people want to get some temporary relief for them on the expense of op's tears. Everybody seems so aggressive and predatory in there.

Hey, I got tore apart on Reddit too today. Definitely staying off of it for good now.

It really is just one of the worst places on the internet, with a lot of shitty people. I'm really sorry they got to you, they're miserable assholes just seeking to make others feel just as horrible as them for a laugh. They don't matter.

What were you trying to get out of this?

Advice as i am really anxious about the future and maybe reading other journeys could help me see things can change.
I wish i had an older sibling to help me through all this but i dont.
My family never listen talking to them stressful. They dimiss how i feel by saying " i had it harder than you growing up" or " your lucky to have a family who put a roof on your head some people have no family"
I have no one really to guide me

FUck em. If the world burns, it does not discount your pain in anyways. I bet she's a fun company during a lock down. This; "People are suffering more than you." bullshit is infuriating, it's just a nasty lazy convoluted way of saying "I don't give a FUCK" and it's condescending too. Can't people just give a simple "Fuck You I don't care and kill yourself." comment. Geez people are trash.

I know i made poor decisions in my life and genieuly regret them. I acknowledge the fact that i have ruined my life
1) Going to university so young. I wish i went really late to university as i would have coped better after gradauting . If am so jealous of people who in thier 30s attending university because they are so mature and know what they want.
2) Turning down job in the church it a saturday job as a youth worker. I turned it down due to fear of messing up and being needy all the time. I developed a fear of messing up so found it easier to hide from it all.
I was stupid to turn it down.
