CTB is the most difficult task I've ever faced

its certainly not impossible

But its amazingly surprisingly difficult, a Final End to everything

I can't concieve the idea of NOTHING

Setting or scheduling a day in which I would stop to exist is, desired yes, on one part, but on the other part is I dont want to go knowing how much pain I'll cause....

sure, but what about My pain?

What about my unwillingness to continue?

is not a willingness to STOP it, its a lack of willingness to continue...

damm... so confusing...

Setting a date for ctb may be hard because you may think that you have to do it NOW.
It just gives you more stress and you may feel like prisoned for a longer time if you "fail".

So... if you ever wanna do it, I guess you just wait until you feel like to do it, without setting a certain date.
Of course I hope it never comes this far for you and some kind of miracle happens. But choice is yours

hugs

Maybe it would help giving yourself a specific year to CTB but not having an exact date in mind. That way you don't have to rush into a specific deadline and can have everything prepared and ready to go. You could then take your time and have the peace of mind of knowing that you can go at any time, though it would also be best to avoid doing it in the heat of the moment, since things could improve. Maybe not overall, but at least get more tolerable than the moment you act on impulse.

This is a good answer and I too, have set many dates during my 28 years of existence. While there are very few times where I have an exact date, I usually have an approximate date, which gives me a bit of flexibility in terms of the time around then. This year back in February, I gave myself end of May 2019 sometime to CTB if I didn't recover in March 2019. Since I have since recovered, that date is postponed. I still have some general date, but since it's far off into the future, I allowed myself some sense of peace knowing that the worst case is exiting at that date.

As long as I've done my research and have the necessary ingredients at hand, I don't feel any need to set a date, because I'm always prepared. Maybe that approach could work for you too, Dandan.
