Just wanting some peace

It truly is beyond hellish how we exist in a society where suicide is pretty much illegal and seen as a crime because no matter what I'd prefer to not exist and it's so horrifying how I cannot just choose to fall asleep eternally.
To me it's evil how humans procreate even know there is literally no limit as to how much agony one can feel in this existence yet wish to make existence into a prison where one cannot peacefully escape.

The fact that the option of a peaceful, guaranteed exit is denied with suicidal people treat like criminals simply for wanting to escape from this existence that they never even consented to shows that existence truly is just imprisonment and slavery. The reality that suicide is so close to being illegal is truly so tragic and repulsive, it proves that we truly do exist in hell.

Humans truly are such a disgusting species with how they ban painless suicide methods and make them illegal, wanting to make others a slave to suffering until they die slowly and painfully. I really do despise this world and how pro-suffering it is, the fact that Nembutal isn't avaliable is so devastating as all I see as desirable is permanent non-existence.

I have no interest in the futile and torturous burden of existing as a human where there is unlimited potential for pain and suffering, I'd always see it as better that this existence peacefully disappears into nothingness, not everyone wants to suffer in this cruel and meaningless existence.

When I was still in med school, one of the debates we had involve the morality of Euthanasia. It's always been chalked as bad by the more religious students but they can't think of other bad effects of it. It always comes down to so long as there's informed consent from the patient, it's good.

No one have ever brought up "healthy" people performing it though. It's always the ones near their deathbed suffering without the chance to recover. In fact I don't think suicide was even a topic mentioned only the effects of depression even in our philosophy class.

It's systemic in someway. To teach people that it's not within your rights to depart if you want to. There's no WAY out. Just suck it all up stop complaining. In a world were abortion is still being debated as a woman's right or not, i guess it's expected.

So, essentially, people like me can't ctb because we aren't already in a position where they are near death already and there's no feasible way they'd be able to recover and yet look at we have, people ctbing everyday with a variety of methods and they aren't even in such a condition that grants them their right to be euthanized.

Yeah, we can't live even if we wanted to because we might as well only be allowed to leave if we're half-dead already.

If you have money to go to Switzerland assisted suicide is legal. It should be like this everywhere though.

Maybe they should start giving people guns and knifes with instruction on how to use !! Yes it's illegal despite how we feel & I'm talking about myself I don't want any of my family to die by suicide it's a horrible way to go.. I will never agree with this post…

This is why this world doesn't make any sense, it's crazy how they don't even want people to escape this world.

Very well stated. I couldn't have said it better. I'm more than ready to go, and should have the right to end my life peacefully after suffering for over thirty five years with treatment resistant multiple mental illnesses.

There have always been stupid and cruel laws in the society. Euthanasia should be legal for all people, not just the rich and in some countries. Because of religion, man lost the right to determine the time of his death and due to the high life expectancy, for many, this leads to years or decades of meaningless suffering and a slow and painful death. However, we will all be dead in the future - so what does the cause of death and the timing matter?

Once again, very well said!
