Why is it so hard to kill oneself?

I asked this question many times to myself too. I don't know. Easy to born, hard to live, impossible to die (okay it is not impossible of course but difficult).

I think because every suicide method involves some sort of pain or discomfort and it's difficult to inflict pain on yourself. That's true in my case anyway.

I don't have the answer. But I think a lot of us feel like this:

I'm looking for a psychiatrist to write me a psychiatric appraisal saying that I'm coherent to decide the end of my life. If I get one in the USA which I've been searching all over... my hands are in Dignitas in the Netherlands.
