Debbie Dingell, that's a real beauty," Trump told the crowd, noting that he'd ordered flags lowered after her husband died. John Dingell had been the longest serving member of Congress, serving for 59 years.

Trump said he gave Dingell an "A-plus" memorial.

"I gave him everything. I don't want anything. I don't need anything for anything," Trump said. "She calls me up: 'It's the nicest thing that's ever happened. Thank you so much. John would be so thrilled. He's looking down. He'd be so thrilled. Thank you so much, sir.' I said, 'That's OK, don't worry about it.'

"Maybe he's looking up, I don't know. I don't know. Maybe," Trump said to loud laughs and groans. "But let's assume he's looking down."

I think this is in line with: "We do not know where the dead go but this is hard to admit for survivors and they always assume the best. Which is illogical but understandable." What do you think? Was this truly irreverent and offensive?

You could take five Vicodin, wash them down with 8 shots of Jack Daniels, insert a Sharpie into your ass, and back up to a white board and scrawl whatever came into your mind during the next hour using your hips, back and legs and it would be more epistemologically coherent than anything Trump has ever said, written or Tweeted.

He was trolling Debbie Dingell because she voted for his impeachment.

Or for being hyper friendly after the funeral to him then voting for impeachment

To say that, you'd need some sort of depth and insight. That man has neither. It was very obviously a trolling attack.

Hyper friendly after the funeral or not Ms. Dingell was not obligated to support Trump politically with a vote against impeachment.

He was definitely trolling her, implying that her husband is in hell. I thought it was pretty funny. He's not a very good president, but the man is hilarious.

I call it the Trump vision of "pushing up daisies". the guy was 92 when he died. he lived through the era creating global pollution by capitalistic globalists and did very little. He was an automobile industry guy. Seriously, can we not design places where people can walk or bicycle to work but we have to have these mega cities? To me, Dingell had no insights. His widow gushes "We are all thrilled" the whole time. As Trump depicted in the phone call about lowering the flags for his funeral. This is not an era to "gush thrilled". we are in deep shit. God sent the noah flood, and was not gonna do anything for us after that. He was coerced into sending Jesus and he is DONE. earth is on its own. If people like Dingell do not step up to the plate we are fucked. And Dingell did not. His wife does not. to me they are all losers but I am biased. my perspective is by merit. i give merit to the witches who burned in Germany and cursed the land and brought about the Nazis to ruin German reputation for ever. If the Germans got royalties for every time the Nazis are mentioned. portrayed in public culture, they would be richer than the Saudis with their oil. Herod's reputation (he was raised as a jew) was ruined as was the Jew's when Jesus was killed. This could very well be by divine design. We are not paying enough attention to the bigger picture.

You're not paying enough attention to the obvious. Trump will use anything if he thinks it benefits him. You really think he gives a crap about corruption in Ukraine?! He only cares about himself. Even Lindsey Graham didn't defend this one and that's saying something. The lengths people have to go to to defend him are ridiculous and why? I think people are just defending themselves and the choice they made to vote for him. Why is it so hard for someone to say they made a mistake? I'd respect Trump more if he was able to do that. Not once has he ever done that. He just stoops ever lower trying to cover his ass and accusing others of what he's guilty of. It's that that makes him a piece of shit not calling the head of Apple Tim Apple. He takes himself way too seriously to ever be funny. Only to laugh at not with but it stopped being funny some time ago. He would have admired Hitler as he does all dictators as long as he could build a Trump tower in Germany. The man is truly disgusting

Agreed except it wasn't funny. It's always obvious why he's doing it. Opinions of the person in question are irrelevant, he doesn't care. This is him using cheap shots against someone following the law because of crimes he committed. He likes to think of himself as the alpha when really he's a coward who'll never take responsibility for anything. On the other hand he likes to take credit for anything positive that he had nothing to do with. He's an empty shell, totally devoid of morality and overcompensating for small hand syndrome (or something). The great irony is he cares so much about how he looks that's why he looks so horrendous. When I see his endless lies I just wonder if he truly believes everyone's that stupid.

I have been told too many times that I am not paying attention. I red flag this response as being coercive. Studies show that once people are told to pay attention to a specific part of a scene or picture, they will fail to notice when even significant changes occur outside of the area of focus
I will always defend my educated thoughts which supply me with the ability to notice significant changes outside others' area of focus.
"Why is it so hard for someone to say they made a mistake?" I am quoting you from your reply. Bill Clinton denied denied denied to have had an affair with Monica Lewinsky. It depends on the meaning of what "is" is. famous Bill Clinton quote. It is so beneath human insight that it is ... pathetic. I feel that Hillary lost because Bill is so pathetic, tainted forever. He had had that affair for 1 1/2 years with Monica. The authoritarian power differential between him and Monica is at the heart of the sexual abuse case. The optics are bad. Hunter Biden is a bad egg. Optics are more bad. Joe Biden as VP never declared a conflict of interest as his aides suggested he do. Joe travelled to Ukraine many times as VP. Joe said he could not deal with his aides' recommendations to declare a conflict of Interest in Ukraine because he was "grieving because his son Beau died". Does that mean he really was incapable of doing his job as VP ? Does that mean he needed to deflect from Hunter's activities because he was unwilling to support Hunter financially and Joe was happy that Hunter got 10.000 per month so Joe would not have to take care of Hunter's obligations to his ex wife and children? Hunter pleads unemployment as a cause for not paying child support to his love child with an ex stripper. He was caught out by DNA analysis to be the father. Bill Clinton was caught out by DNA technology to be the lover of Monica. The optics for the Dems are very bad. I understand many are focussing on trying to find out what Trump did that was illegal. After the Mueller Report many have realized that it is not so easy to pin the tail on the donkey. Trump asked Zelensky to have his people talk to Trumps people(AG) to figure out what happened. I too truly want to know what happened with the Bidens in Ukraine also. The narrative is thin. Other than Joe Biden grieving and not being able to deal, there is not much else that came from the Bidens. Election interference to me is a given, when I look at Wikipedia's entry for Electoral Interference. Trump might want to get the info on the crowdstrike server because of the Mueller Investigation but I personally do not care. Mueller investigation is dead, it did not even come up during impeachment. sad story, lots of money wasted. As a result of being cognisant of election fraud, I have not voted for anyone for all the 56 years I have been on this planet, save for voting for Elisabeth May in the most recent Canadian elections because my friend asked me to do it. Elisabeth immediately after the elections resigned and I rested my case aggressively. As I often do.
