I read that in the media. Do you think Trump is an American phenomenon there are right-wing populists all over the world. But even Bolsonaro's career was over after their January the 6th.

The question is, is Trump aware of what he says, is he aware that he is USA's President, or is his only goal to entertain and produce jokes? Because one of his last jokes, that Gaza will be a riviera, after he builds whatever he builds there, fits perfectly into this question. Is very hard to take those words seriously. To answer your question, no, he's not as American as Apple pie.

The popular vote was Trump 49.8%, Harris 48.3%. Out of over 156 million votes, he had about 2.2 million more. Half the country still hates him. Non of these numbers factor in the opinions of non voters of all ages.

Yeah but what you said could be applied to just about any country, making it not uniquely American, thus making your point invalid. It's humans. Human are generally terrible. From listening to Tucker (a chief Trump propagandist), Trump to me seems... like a Gorbachev? He's literally:
1) rolling up LGBT propaganda ("communism doesn't work");
2) trying to disclose CIA secrets ("KGB crimes").

No, I'm not saying LGBT is communism, I'm comparing the two ideologies being dismantled right now. Sure, there are important differences - for one, the USSR was dismantled in favour of the CIA, but America is not disintegrating in favour of China or anything. So Trump is likely to be successful?

I think saying "Trump is as American as apple pie" is just marketing, and every time it comes up it helps cement his position as a national celebrity. It fits with his grandiose style, since every American is American, but only a select few reach the ultra-elite level of American-ness to qualify for the rank of American as apple pie. Trump's is a gold-plated, jewel-encrusted American pie I'm sure.

I remember seeing Trump on TV and print media in the 80's and 90's and he always represented wealth in America, the ostentations, gaudy, and arrogant kind specifically. He was always aiming to be in the kind of media that defined American pop culture, and he succeeded for multiple decades already, so in a sense it's true by definition he's as American as apple pie. While we're handing out idioms to describe Trump, I'd say he's also a train wreck and his administration is a dumpster fire.
