For the past 3 weeks me and my ex have been seeing each other for various reasons however we are split up.

However, recently I've found out she hung out with her ex (technically they only dated a day but she's spoken on and off with him for a year while we were dating), and she told me the whole relationship that she didn't like him. Initially this hurt and tbh it kind of still does, and when we hung out today (last time seeing her) she seems happy and she was suprised at me being sad.

Obviously I'd still want to be together, and that pain does hurt quite a bit, I still want to talk to her one last time to get a few things straight. The reasons why she left me are very valid on her end, even if I genuinely was planning to change some of my flaws.

But despite my pain I'm kind of proud of her for leaving and moving on, she's always had bad mental health even before me. And for the first time ever she seems happy or at least she's doing something that, although I disagree with her, something that she genuinely thinks is best for her.

Is it weird to be proud of my ex like this, or is this just a normal part of moving on and growing up?

P.S I'm only 18 so most of this relationship I've been emotionally stupid (not to justify my flaws) it's only until recently where I've actually changed my mentality
