Description

Sodium nitrite is an E250 food supplement. It is widely used in the food industry as a color fixative and preservative in meat and fish products.

Sodium nitrite is soluble in water. In air, the E250 additive undergoes slow oxidation to form sodium nitrate (NaNO3).

It is worth noting that sodium nitrite (additive E250) has a synthetic origin and an average level of danger (may be harmful to health).

Chemical formula: NaNO2

im a little confuse cause it also mention nano3 in the description

As long as it has not been exposed in air for a certain period, it is Sodium Nitrite. It says if exposed to air it can convert to NaNO3, which is sodium nitrate. But, right now, it is NaNO2, which is Nitrite.
In other words, you're good. Just make sure the % is 95% or over.

It's a description of NaNO2 that explains what it is used for and what will happen to it if exposed to air. It's not a description of NaNO3.
