It's not the really type of method that triggers SI. It's your own ingrained bodily response to stay alive when facing imminent death. Any/all methods can trigger SI.

There isn't a method that won't trigger SI because the body won't naturally let you die. Your best bet is taking sedatives or alcohol prior to an attempt.

If you survive it, then it might cause the instinct to kick into high gear. Also you'd have to overcome that initial fear before you pull the trigger.Similar threads
